So, what you're really saying is that you want to add two more double dips to my ever growing collection of them? Nice.

My usual answer: More Antonioni.

Speaking of whom, The Lady Without Camelias is now streaming on Amazon Prime. It's definitely worth checking out, especially if you aren't Region Free and able to get your hands on the Eureka release.

In my humble opinion, this list is nearly perfect. I would subtract Wagon Master and substitute Eisenstein: The Sound Years blu ray upgrade and keep the rest virtually the same.

And Los Olvidados is with Kino Lorber, according to the rights info from a local screening last year.

Criterion wish list could go on forever, but for me: anything by Paul Thomas Anderson, anything by Kubrick, anything by Todd Solondz, Bringing Up Baby, Freaks, Amadeus......

If we can get the rumored Godzilla/Toho releases I’d be happy regardless of what else came out.

That said I’d love to see a Region A Blu Ray of Welles’ The Trial.
More Lynch and John Ford
Out of left field....I’ve always wanted Corman’s The Intruder to get some respect.

Thank you! Added to my watchlist already.

I would love to see a Criterion release for that and Il mistero di Oberwald.

I need more Antonioni on Blu ASAP.

Yeah, that's one Antonioni I've never seen. Don't get me wrong, as I don't mean to imply that it's the only one, or even close. But it sounds interesting. And I agree: More Antonioni is always a good thing.

I have no idea what the rights situation, but speaking of PTA can we PLEASE get Hard Eight on Blu? A Criterion would be splendid, but honestly I'll take any good release.

Oh, just checked to make sure I wasn't making a fool of myself and it appears there's going to be/might be an Aussie version. We'll see if that ever happens. I'm region free, so that's fine. But I'd still prefer a Criterion.

I'm curious as to what other MGM films Criterion will re-release in 2019.

Here's a list of all of the MGM Blu-ray releases in descending order.

I want to keep it simple, for 2019 I just want a upgraded Eisenstein boxset and keep up the Fassbinder.

Hopefully, The Defiant Ones, The Great Escape, and Spellbound are among those three.

Also, the one film that I really love to see Criterion release in 2019 is The Cameraman.

Jeez, I'm getting senile in my dotage. I could have sworn they already announced Spellbound. *sigh*

just spent a small fortune at Criterion:

Berlin Alexanderplatz (Haven't seen this in ages, not even sure I saw the whole thing to be honest.)

Ingmar Bergman's Cinema (Obviously, some blind, some not. I need this in my life.)

Detour (Blind buy, but everyone here seems to think it is genius.)

La Vérité (Blind buy, but anything starring Bardot and directed by Clouzot is going to be fine by me.)

4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days (Oh this is a REAL pick-me-up! Depressed? This is the movie for you! )
