Why, was you the first? You didn't posts 4 pages of stuff, so no your not to blame. I was just asking if there was news or not. Someone posted that there was a thread for this B&N posts to go into.

I can't tell anybody what to post (which is why I'm curious as to why people want to respond to my posts like that but that is another story), it's just that 4 pages of "I bought this, even though most have already own this, am I cool?" posts when there is a thread for that already is weird.

To top that off, the people that posts what they bought, don't read others' posts, which in turn just has a bunch of posts that wants attention for buying from a sale that everyone knows about.

Nope, that is the truth. If I bought stuff that most people already own from a sale everyone knows about, I would want to post it among 3-4 pages of other people's same post, hoping someone would point mine out as a winner.

I just thought since someone went out there way to make another thread for this, and for a week that will have a newsletter, and next week maybe announcements, we prob would want this stuff moved to that thread.

The much loved Beta posted this about a page or 2 ago, yet no one listened to him (maybe because he said it while posting his list). Maybe they will point out the posts from the "BAD GUY" CG then!

I thought all the cases were the new plastic ones by now. I'll do it now then. That makes 3 different movies with 2 different cases. The plastic ones are so much better.

Hopefully I will watch Chungking Express today... Also rented it from the library last week and still haven't watched but it sounds great though.

Yeah, but like I said, I don't care what people posts (Hello, it's me, Off-topic machine!), but if it's something someone made a thread for, it belongs in that thread.

1. I believe no one actually cares what other people buy.

2. WE ALL KNOW ABOUT THE SALE.

3. Most people already owns what people is getting, so are they suppose to clap for you?

4. No one actually reads other's hauls. They just want to post theres so people will read it. Yet, no one reads others, which just has pages of lists that no one REALLY cares about.

So, I just watched Repulsion for the first time after picking it up, and I have to say, it has quickly become one of my favorite Criterion releases. Great PQ, and just a great overall film. I really enjoyed it.

I have read every person's haul. I like it. It's nice to see who does have luck and who doesn't and why. That's half the fun of these sites when it's on a sale I actually care about (i.e. THIS ONE). I might be a rare specimen, but yes, I do like reading about what other people buy.

But see, that's the problem. For years and years, we keep teaching our children that technology is ruining it for those who have never had to look in an encyclopedia or something to find out some information. Everybody now always rushes to GOOGLE or the almighty Wikipedia!

I embrace the fact that people can come into a forum, a social gathering of the minds (since our bodies cannot be present), and participate in a discussion of all aspects of the suggested topic. In this case, that topic is Criterion. So, whether you have some noteworthy news, you just bought a new title, or you want to be rude to your fellow posters as it pertains to the Criterion Collection, I say have at it!

I give these people credit for coming here and attempting to start a discussion, whether in the form of a repeated question, which, if you think about it, are only repeated 10-50 pages apart in an 900+ page forum...kinda hard to sift through (think of how often we read these posts, and how often they do), a bit of news, or a proud moment in their lives where they just saved a bunch of money purchasing something great...remember those Geico commercials?? They were proud of saving their 15%, and they were not looked down upon for sharing the news. Why should we?

I mean, how many pages were wasted on bickering in the first place? While I do think they are effin' hilarious, they probably take up more space than the happy posts for people who saved a bunch of money shopping at B&N.
