I saw the Hitchcock set for $47 and was ecstatic about finally finding it for a decent price, but when I went to go add it to my cart, it was out of stock, and I couldn't place my order. Apparently, they've never heard of back-ordering. -_- I guess I'll get it during the next B&N sale. Hopefully it's close in price.

Anyway, my unhappy self took the opportunity to finally get some Criterion titles that have been sitting on my wishlists for a long time:


I considered also getting the Lodger/Downhill double feature, but I'll save that for when Kino releases their set of early Hitchcock films, and get it then. I also considered On The Waterfront, but it was a bit pricier.

After getting the newer 2016 Studiocanal version of Ran and getting the Studiocanal Melville: The Essential Collection box I will have to sit this one out. I still have my pre-order of Detour coming in a few weeks and will probably still pick up In The Heat of the Night and La Verite in the following weeks or so. My July B&N order will be huge.

Also, drat on the Hitchcock box being out of stock. That set is awesome value for its price. I got it a few years ago at full price and it was still worth every penny.
