What about Night on Earth? I picked this up last night -- trying to decide if I should keep it. I've read some mixed reviews now.

Just watch it and find out for yourself. Then get back to us with your thoughts.

You were raised by a pack of wolves, and owned by Godard, yet your name is Greg?

I really liked Night On Earth...it follows the same Jarmusch formula of separate vignettes, in this case, dealing with taxi drivers from around the world, using a clock as a way of keeping track of locations and times.

A few of the stories are quite funny (especially the one taking place in Italy with Roberto Benigni), a few are clever and at least one is very heartfelt and even got me a bit choked up.

If I didn't think that CC will eventually release this on blu...I would most definitely purchase the DVD...who knows...I might just pick it up anyway.

You're VERY welcome...as far as I'm concerned, Samurai Jack was the apex of his career...intelligent animation and lush/wonderful background art. What a shame it only lasted 52 episodes.

What was your mother thinking? Were you named after another family member, or Greg Allman?

I think I prefer Tony for you.

TONY, IT IS!!!!!

Night on Earth is my favorite Jarmusch film, and definitely worth it for Roberto Benigni's segment alone.

I sent them an email explaining this must be a mistake since they canceled an item that was still available to order on the website & is a pre-order that has not yet been released. Hopefully I get a response...

I never knew that it was a no no to have more than one account until today. Now I know and knowing is half the battle. If I only knew what the other half of the battle was. See sig for details...

I did just receive an email from Barnes & Noble... "order shipped" hooray!
I've never posted a review in this thread, but I'll do so when I get the new batch this weekend.
