I'm pretty damn disappointed. I waited four and half months for this?

If there's 1000 titles, then where?

Seems like there's 30.

App is ugly too. Makes me miss Filmstruck even more.

You can hook your phone up to a TV and watch stuff that way. Pretty common thing.

Hope you’re right. For all the build up it sure seems disappointing and does not seem to be the type of service promised.

The titles are there, but there's not currently a way to browse through all of them. The movies that aren't currently featured in the "Explore" section can only be found by using the search function. Hopefully, they fix that soon because it's making it seem like there's a lot less on the service than there is in addition to making things more difficult to find.

Mac users trying to hook up to an external display, it seems like you have to use Safari. In Chrome, I get the error about not being able to use an external display.

I'm holding off on subscribing. I'm already paying for Amazon Prime and I prefer watching films on blu-ray or UHD. There's not enough time in the day to watch the films I already own or have access to stream on Prime.

Hope it works out for everyone who subscribed, but the problems seem symptomatic of the wider issue with streaming: There are too many platforms, too many devices, and therefore too many variables.

Yes, I have the same issue. I have a pretty new Firestick and a first gen Fire TV. Both have all the firmware updates and are current, but I get the "secure video" error when I try to view the films on both devices. I believe it is a DRM issue but haven't been able to confirm with anyone.

I was able to set up my MacBook Pro using Safari and run my HDMI cable from it to my TV and it works fine but that is a hassle.

I don't know how "new" your Amazon Fire TV device has to be in order to work. If it's not corrected I'll drop the service more than likely.

I walked in to Rashomon since I kinda wanted to watch Kurosawa but then got Scanners instead. I wished I had the money to buy both. Can't the sale come sooner

My Amazon FireStick is from 10/2016. I had no trouble watching Bugsy Malone.

By the way, I was surprised to see that film listed when I was browsing. A prohibition-era gangster musical with all child actors, including a young Jodie Foster. It's a hoot!

Have you tried other titles?

I'll have to check mine again when I get home. I don't recall the build date on my Firestick but it's probably roughly from 2016 or so. I know my Fire TV is old though, it was from the original release.

Could be the issue was corrected overnight which would be nice.

That was the only title I've streamed. I know that my Firestick was a new release with Alexa voice remote. If your stick doesn't have Alexa, it's gen 1.
