What I would want (in a perfect world):

Shouwa Godzilla Box Set
Hamlet (1948)
The Killer
Hard Boiled

And probably Grand Budapest Hotel, but that ain't happening anytime soon...

TCM played The Eyes of Oregon Welles Monday, and I recorded it. Suddenly, I feel an urge to watch some documentaries tonight. I’ll check that out after HBO’s What’s My Name: Muhammad Ali.

Kerouac: King of the Beats (also known as Kerouac: The Movie as the IMDB link suggests)

The Beat Generation: An American Dream

The clue was William S. Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg (both from the Beat Generation) "dream"ing of being King of the Beats.

Bad clue, but that's the best answer anyone has come up with. It's definitely not Gast though, as he is not recognizable (especially to the degree Burroughs and Ginsberg are) so that wouldn't quite gel with typical Criterion newsletter clues when an actual person is part of a clue.

I think so...he is the director. Unless I'm missing something in your comment.

Either way, I could see these two announced soon, we've had some sequential releases of late.

And I love Secret of Roan Inish, so glad to see it'll get a release.

Lmao... I know who John Sayles is.

I was questioning whether the poster here that "interviewed" him is reliable.

I have to admit, when I read your original post, I thought you were questioning the credibility of John Sayles!

I think Criterion just nabbed the 3 Godzilla movies that Kraken had. Sea monster, Gigan, Hedorah. So its gonna take some time. I honestly don't expect a box set until 2020. Probably coincide with GvsK

I don't know if you saw my post in the Godzilla Films on Blu-ray thread, but Criterion's AD was reaching out to various artists, whose styles would lean more towards Godzilla films than any other titles in their catalog (and when one recently asked on twitter if they should buy a giant $700 Godzilla, he responded with a yes and a joke about it being a work expense.) So, depending on Toho approvals, it should be coming this year. November most likely.

November is most likely imo. I think they will want it out for a sales month and if they miss November than the next sale is July.....and releasing then means they miss all the hype around Godzilla vs Kong next March.

Yep, the big box sets have commonly been in November. We can settle for the Koker trilogy this month perhaps.

Grand Budapest and Wildlife this month would be nice just to scratch them off the list. Surprises would be Roma or Shoplifters.
