Blu Ray And 4k aren’t going anywhere anytime fast and with next gen video games also now supporting physical that’s at least another 8 years of replication.

Regardless of how much streaming grows there is a market for discs and will remain to be for the distant future

Same here. If a title is available on the Criterion Channel, I'm less likely to purchase it and I'm certainly not going to blind buy it.

But there are still a few things I definitely want to own even if they are available to stream.

So far, the "must-have" July sale titles for me will be Blue Velvet, The Kid Brother, Detour, A Face in the Crowd, Swing Time, War and Peace, Klute, and Do the Right Thing. Though, I'll likely also get Police Story/2, The Heiress, La Verite, Mikey and Nicky, and maybe I Wanna Hold Your Hand.

No seriously, that's an excellent film. It's just ... not exactly happy. To put it mildly. OTOH, what was happy during Ceaușescu's reign in Romania? But a very good film. I also have another film by Mungiu called Beyond the Hills and it's also excellent.

First, congrats on becoming a grandfather! Second, if you aren't already a Barnes and Noble member, I highly recommend joining. Especially if you plan on purchasing anything close to that amount. The 25 dollar yearly fee gets you an extra 10% off in store purchases on top of the 50% for the Criterion sale. It's a no brainer if you buy in bulk!
