Not as far as I'm aware. It's more "wishful thinking".

It has been and there's even a 4K release on iTunes. I suspect a disc release will be out by the end of the year (hopefully)

I believe "Seven Samurai" did get a new remaster but it hasn't made it to disc yet.

Have we seen an official confirmation of the sale yet, or are we just hoping local store employees know what they're talking about?

Any chance Criterion will pick up The House That Jack Built in the future? They do like von Trier and it's an IFC release but there's been no word on a release here in the states for it.

I'd love this so much, but at this point I'll take even a generic blu-ray release for it.

I just watched Bad Timing for the first time last week. I would LOVE to see it get an upgrade.

Would definitely pickup Carnal Knowledge and Crash as well. I haven't seen Damage.

I wouldn't be surprised to see House That Jack Built drop from Well Go.

I’m surprised Shout hasn’t released it via Scream Factory based upon their current IFC agreement.

I would love to see more Chaplin of course. In particular I've been hoping for The Circus, but I don't know if any of the unreleased-on-bluray-in-the-US titles have been given any significant restoration (if the copies of them on Criterion Channel are any indication, I'm thinking no.) Other than that, some of my other favorite directors' works have already been covered by the current new release slate (Lynch, Ozu, Sirk), but I would welcome more!

It would be cool to see something out of left field like Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (Paul Mazursky, 1969), which I think would fit right in w/ some of Criterion's late 60s offerings. Additionally, I'm hoping Todd Hayne's I'm Not There gets the Criterion treatment at some point.

There might be some issues regarding the Director's Cut and how IFC landed in hot water over it. It's available to purchase digitally now but who knows that's going on beyond that.

A little Polyester in there would be nice but otherwise that's a great list. Thought I don't know, or haven't seen, Fires on the Plain.

And yes to all Mizoguchi!
