I will definitely go. This time around, though, I don't have much to get as I did the bulk of my catching up during July's sale. I think I have (not counting November's releases) 3 more to get.

I saw this the year it was released at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. I was in first or second grade of Catholic school and I remember taking the bus to get into NYC (I lived in Rockland Co. at that time...about an hour north). Besides...the review was stellar and kndy was pushing it as well...

The digibook looks real nice. It fits in well with the WB ones. The only problem I had was that the DVD edition was the first disc you see. In the back, there's a cardboard fold-out thing which houses the BDs. I moved the BD movie disc tot he front, and placed ther DVD in the rear. The cut-outs which are supposed to hold the discs are kinda crappy as well. As long as the book is closed and upright, it's fine

My Bigger than Life case got mangled when it fell next to the hinge on my storage unit. I shut the door not knowing it fell under the hinge and it ripped it. Had to get it replaced. Cried for days until replacement came from Criterion.

Well since I somehow missed that The Man Who Fell to Earth is OOP, I decided to track it down before the price skyrockets. No B&N near me has one, so I am checking out Best Buy. I found 1 copy and it will cost me $25 with the 30% off coupon. My question is, is it worth it? Will this be a rare title?

Somehow when I took the plastic wrapping off on the top of the case (some Criterions have it, some don't) of Kagemusha BD I tore loose some of the side. It sucks though but I can live with it. I somehow have other DVDs with that same problem.

Funny you should say that. I tried calling them to pay by cc over the phone and they wouldn't have it. They wanted me to mail in a money order. That's a big hassle and the reason why I still don't have my replacement cases to this day. Is there a certain person to talk to that did this for you?

Hey...this may sound very corny and pollyanna, but I really believe that eventually, good things happen to good people. Underneath that punk/French New Wave/anti-Spielbergian exterior, beats the heart of a warm, decent, human being who is just trying to get his bearings.

You seem like a good guy...just stay the course and find a way to have your cake and eat it too. I was a Communications major in college and today I'm a network administrator for a school district...and even that was fraught with bad decisions on former jobs.

Take your time and just try to "make ends meet"...find a job that you can at least tolerate (and maybe even enjoy) and persevere until you either grow to like it or can move on to something better. You could even do a day gig and go to school in the evening...or vice versa.

I'm trying to not sound like a father...more like a friend that wants to steer you in a good direction. We can all attempt to help out, but it's ultimately up to you to forge ahead and make a move in a positive direction.

A quick check of eBay, Half.com, and the Amazon Marketplace tells me it already is a rare title. The sooner the better once they go OOP or you'll find yourself in a The Third Man situation trying to find one under $90.

Agreed. I was lucky and snagged TMWFTE a month and a half ago before it suddenly rocketed in price and I only paid $24 with shipping. Jump on it NOW. I'm still trying to get The Third Man, and I hate how long it's taking to find it at a decent price.

I'm trying to find Pierrot Le Fou before it blows up, too.

I don't know, I was watching the movie and noticed the plastic sheet (mind you not the hard plastic) was unattached for half of the back side of the case. I also wanted the 400 Blows replacement so I figured it was time to order some cases.

Hasn't it been an animal before, like last month too? What was that, the lizard or whatever from Fear and Loathing? It always seems like a "wacky animal". I'm anxiously waiting for this clue in the newsletter, however!

Oh I know, but that was a while ago...I was referring to recent ones...The Wacky Lizard, the Gnus, and it seems like I may be forgetting one...

The Kes one was not an animal, and OH...the bunny with the tattooed knuckes for Night of the Hunter...a bunny is an animal!!
