Yeah, acquiring those OOP Criterion blus are always a bit of an adventure. Luckily, even though I only started collecting during the summer, I was wise to the OOP factor (thanks to reading this thread) and scored both The Man Who Fell To Earth and Pierrot le Fou for ~$20 on ebay. It took some effort, but ended up finding The Third Man for ~$55 on ebay... which is only a bit above new price. And certainly worth the difference between the Criterion version and the Studio Cannal version.
OOP Criterion blus are funnnnn.... |

The pouch slides under the clips, and I put the book over it. Works just fine. Let us know how that works for ya! |

Speaking of cases... is there anyone that would be interested in chipping-in to buy some of the clear or grey Scanavo single-disc DVD cases that Criterion uses? I found one company online that sells them but only in lots of 100. Obviously, I don't need that many. Heck, I probably only need about 10 of each color. It's $39 + $17.xx shipping for (100) clear Scanavo DVD cases. It's $37 + $17.xx shipping for (100) grey Scanavo DVD cases. Just thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone else is interested. I know I will buy CC films just because, but heck, at least they have their own merit to stand on. |
