It's currently 91 degrees Fahrenheit with a heat index of 97 in the Chicagoland area. Great day to put on 12 Angry Men. I wish Criterion's release of Do the Right Thing came out a week earlier I'd watch that one next.

I’d honestly love all the P.T. Anderson films to make its way to Criterion. They all definitely deserve it.

We are experiencing a similar heat wave in Southern California and I live more inland near the desert. I was thinking the same thing about "Do the Right Thing" this morning when I was logging into work, noticing that it was already 91 degrees at 6:45am. It would have been a great movie to sit back and watch this afternoon.

I suppose NYC is too far up north to get the rain we should get around DC soon.

They could at least tweet about something maybe possibly the weather or do a count down to the big reveal.

It's funny, right after I got back home it started to rain, but that literally lasted for 2 minutes, and stopped. It was odd.

Current heat index of over 110 here.

Probably going to die, boys.

How insane would it be if Spine 1000 was Let It Be. And included the full rooftop concert.

I don’t know if anyone would care if you weren’t a Beatles fan but I would die. Even if it isn’t Spine 1000 I’d still want to see that one day.

You know whoever sends out the Criterion press release is just sitting at their computer with their finger hovering over the enter button with a big grin on their face.

I'm adding all of the Godzilla franchise films to the Blu-ray database. I have a feeling it's coming.

Worst case scenario, we have placeholders for the future.

About a year ago McCartney was quoted as saying something along the lines of an extended 50th Anniversary edition is being worked on, for release in 2020.

So, probably not spine #1000 - or even a Criterion. But you may get your wish next year...

I just hope if it is indeed a Godzilla box set they aren’t in sleeves. I hate it when they do that. It just ****s up the discs.

Bluays are a lot harder to scratch than DVD's and I have never had any Blu-ray scratch in the sleeves?

Worse case scenario put them in a 3rd party case lol?

Now that does put a smile on my face. I just hope it’s a proper line that puts it out. Apple doesn’t know what they’re doing when it comes to restorations.

I think Criterion would be perfect for it. They already got A Hard Days Night. How fitting would it be to have their first movie and their last movie.
