I'm seeing it being referred to as Godzilla: The Showa Era (1954-1975). That's odd because the Showa era didn't end until January 7, 1989

The Showa Era of Godzilla films is generally considered up to (and not including) the 1984 film. That is considered the start of the Heisei films.

Looking forward to the Godzilla set! I would love to see the other TOHO films from that era also get a set.

I saw it twice in the theater, and I've seen it on BD about 7 or 8 times.

I'm in for the Godzilla Box Set. Wonder if the '54 film has a remastered disc, ala Seventh Seal in the Bergman set. Godzilla '54 had a 4K restoration a few years ago, so it would be a nice thing to include.

Probably will since Janus has the rights to the 4K DCP (as shown on their website).

Look forward to seeing how the Godzilla set looks and special features. Will likely snag it if I can get it for less than a hundred during a sale.

Absolutely dire attempt at humour. If you’re going to troll a forum, you need to work on your patter.

It’s all in good jest. But come on, this is the most useless box set since the Olympics one lol

Hardly useless.
I'm sure many of the blu-rays you've purchased wouldn't be of interest to a lot of people.

Godzilla and Ishiro Honda have a place in cinema history. Bummer for you.

All I did was post Norma Desmond saying "get out" and that got deleted. And for me, that was being respectful....
