If you look at the terms for the offer, you have to use the email address the code was sent to, so I am guessing that it isn't available to everyone. Or maybe some of us just haven't received the email yet.

In the end film experts make up their own unique rules for judging film. It isn't set in stone and it defiantly changes from one to another. Add to that Paris, Texas is a 25 year old film and perspective on things change. The beauty of film and art is you can call it as you see it. There is no need to constrain film to another's own box of rules and thinking. |

And NO, in the end experts do not make up their own rules. They still have to use those rules as a basis to formulate their own opinion. All films, like books, have some sort of structure and character development. Whether it is executed properly is usually considered a degree of quality. The film may be 25, or 50 years old, but the execution of this film, let alone 100's of 'quality' films have these aspects in them. Like I said before, ultimately, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But someone helped define why the piece is even considered beautiful with their expert synopsis of the piece. |
