I have not even open any of the the titles I bought during the last 50% B&N Criterion sale so I am gonna have to pass on this flash sale.

Good luck! I have a couple Eclipse sets I want as well that Barnes and Noble doesn't carry. I'm hoping they don't sell out of them. I can get on their website now, but it's too woefully slow to place an order. It keeps timing out and giving me the application error when I try.

So, do we think we'll get the monthly new release announcements today, on top of the flash sale? I mean, it is the 15th of the month and weekday, so this would be right on schedule. But the Criterion site would be INSANE with traffic if both the ongoing flash sale and new release announcements are on the same day, and already with the flash sale the Criterion site seems to be having issues.

So...think they wait until tomorrow afternoon/evening for the monthly releases announcement?

Yeah, that seems to make sense and be the consensus around here (I just now read back through the last couple of pages on this thread). Not sure if I can participate in the flash sale this time, so I'll rest easy and assume the announcements are tomorrow sometime.

Why are they sending you so many gift certificates? How much do you spend a year?

Second order I used the $50 gift certificate that showed up last flash sale but by the time I noticed it it was too late to use it then.

Then yet another $50 gift certificate showed up (quite unexpectedly) in my email just before the site crashed.

Then the site crashed.

One more order still to place, with that new gift certificate.

This sale is going to be a lot cheaper than I thought it was going to be.

Now just waiting on the site to arise from its ashes.

It was running very slow for me last sale, but it didn't actually crash for me. That said, someone mentioned on facebook that it's happened before and they reset the clock once the website was back up and running.

If they were very close to getting a cert before the last sale, and placed a substantial order, but didn’t place a second one when it posted to their account, they could be well on their way to getting another one, one that was earned with a sizable order now.

I got a certificate last sale, and immediately used it for a second order. With my order today, and the second small one I’ll place tonight for three or four more films, I’ll be within $40 of another $50 certificate.

Those certificates can come quickly, depending on where your point total is. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if there were people that got one with every Flash sale.

I used to $10 Charter coupon to get these three shipped for $55. Only about $80 away from a $50 gift card so I will probably order Koker and von Sternberg later today.
