Are you joking? The title is in the post of the picture that Beta posted... "Can't Hardly Wait."

CCFixx...I must thank you. I was on the fence with one of my last purchases.

I was determined to have at least one Kurosawa in my collection and Seven Samurai has fit the bill. A good choice as a "get introduced" film and a nice package. More supplemental information than anyone could ask for.

I realized that I had no Bergman in my collection and I just didn't get the same rush from The Seventh Seal that some/most others have. I had rented The Magician and I liked it, so I got that instead. The supplements are a bit thin, but I found it to be more intriguing (at least to me) than The Seventh Seal.

NOW I need to add Ozu...specifically Tokyo Story...I hope this is next on the CC list...otherwise it's off to BFI after the holidays.

But the best line in that film is: "Oh, you're not gonna s--t right for a week!"

Honestly, I died laughing in the theater. And I have to admit that Thornton nailed that role.

BTW...since I usually get the info from the rest of you...I assume any news on Feb. releases comes from the CC website and not Criterion cast, etc.?

I actually thought Blue Underground held the rights.

Yes. Criterion Cast has done well in predicting some, though.

Okay, but I'm pretty sure BU at least has a DVD release as did Anchor Bay in the past...

Not at all. This is an all-too-common practice for New Announcements day!

Plus, if you're like me (and I do assume that everyone is like me) then you don't mind staring at Tim Curry in fishnets and a corset.

A bit of a bummer "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" did'nt get a blu release, I did pick up the DVD for 10.63 total using the 25% off coupon. Great performances by the late Robert Mitchum and Peter Boyle. This Peter Yates classic deserves a bigger audience, just as good (if not better) as Yates' "Bullitt" IMO.
