It looks great. This is probably random, but I was reminded a little of Blade Runner 2049:

One of their best months in a long time. Was thinking maybe they were going to sneak in Eyes Wide Shut, but hoping a Warner UHD is around the corner...

In for Marriage Story and The Lady Eve. Glad Paramount is still licensing to Criterion.

Ridley Scott joining the Collection(*)? It'd be my first day-one Criterion purchase.

* not sure if they released anything of his on Laserdisc.

They did. BLADE RUNNER back in the day - which I believe was one of the earliest titles released in "letterbox", preserving that glorious widescreen framing.

Thinking the same here. I almost went for the upcoming Aussie releases of War of the Worlds and The Duelists. Maybe the latter will get a Criterion release?

WOW is right. War of the Worlds, The Lady Eve, and the Bruce Lee set I already ordered from Criterion are Day 1's.

Though IIRC Scott was publicly very unhappy about the grading on the Criterion laserdisc. It's been many years so my recollection is a bit foggy, but I think he thought it was wildly oversaturated and too bright.

I'm usually not all into new 5.1 soundtracks for classic films, but when I read Ben Burtt was doing it, they had my attention.

And an interview with Orson and H.G. Wells? I wasn't aware that existed and I'm all in for that.

I thought the reason that they hadn't released The Lady Eve on BD is that the existing elements weren't in good enough condition. Does this mean they found better elements?

Anyway, super- stoked for that one. I have a crappy Chinese bootleg DVD of it, so this will be a major upgrade.
