In relation to packaging, I received an email from Criterion today about my replacement case/inserts for Shortcuts. Since they are unable to send out packaging right now they're going to send me a whole new copy of Shortcuts. I was surprised but appreciative of how well they treat their customers.

Doller coupon for that and i used on the panasonic 820 4k player. It was already 100 off so i saved 300 from todays price of 500 on best buy. I did pay 500 for my first panasonic 820 4k player when it first came out but needed another one after upgrading my lg 65" c8 as i will still be using old tv in another room.

Oh and my barnes and noble membership ends on july 9th one day before but i dont care about saving a 1-2 dollars. The main thing is im getting what i want and not waiting 6 months to a year or longer for it.

Would wait on Paths of Glory, it's getting a new 4K scan in collaboration with Martin Scorsese's Film Foundation.

I think it came from one of the workers who decided to expose it. That's what I heard from but I don't think it's real since I don't know what website that is. (Even if somebody told me the name of it, I still wouldn't know anyways)

Excited for Ghost Dog. Only reason why is because Jarmusch pays tribute to Branded to Kill which is my favorite Criterion title in the collection (So far. Memories of Murder is coming up soon)

Region B: Very likely with BFI (Highly possible) or StudioCanal releasing it in three years or so for the 60th anniversary.
Until then, hold onto your wallets and your patience because it's going to be a long, long wait.

Yeah, I'm hoping either for a remaster by some other label or a Kurosawa collection by Criterion to celebrate his 200th birthday in 2110. My 4K player is Blu-ray region locked, but my PC doesn't care about region restrictions.

Actually, it looks like Portrait of a Lady is available and cheaper with a UK label, so won't be getting the Criterion version after all.

I can further confirm, having visited the Union Square store on Tuesday for something unrelated, that the Criterion shelves are FULLY stocked and impeccably organized. I didn't take account of all the titles available, but at a glance I did notice many of the latest releases.
