I've been eagerly waiting for Bringing Up Baby, but since Sony seems to be planing to release more and more classic Hollywood films in UHD, I'll probably wait before getting the Criterion. Actually, I think Bringing Up Baby was among the titles included in the second Sony poll.
Them Eclipse sets getting upgraded would be a score too. There is enough AK that hasn’t made the bump to make a set more than worth it.

I really want The Bad Sleep Well on Blu-ray out of the remaining Kurosawa films. Probably followed by Dersu Uzala.

Would also love a Criterion Ran on Blu-ray that doesn't use the StudioCanal transfer which I personally think takes out a lot of the vibrancy out of the film.

ON DVD, sure, but on Blu?

We need these on Blu (or 4K) stat:
Red Beard
Ran
The Bad Sleep Well
Drunken Angel
Stray Dog
Dodes’ka-den
Dersu Uzala

I'm hoping they resume their release of Almodóvar films. My suspicion was that the political climate was holding them back from releasing 'Talk to Her', but hopefully that's passed enough that they can release that film without too much fear of losing their friends in the twitter mob.

Other than that, I guess we're still waiting on a Wong Kar Wai announcement. I'd love to get 'Chungking Express'.

There's some others that I hope for, but don't get my hopes too high. Like 'Round Midnight' and 'Cockfighter'.

.
WKW could be a December release set. I'd imagine when they do that one, they'll follow suit with Lee, Varda, and Fellini and it'll be a "pre-announcements announcement".

Yeah, thinking about some of their usual folks---it's been over a year since the last Chaplin (almost finished with those, too), and it's been a bit since the last Harold Lloyd release (unless THE CAMERAMAN kinda scratched that silent comedy itch this year). A few more Wenders films to release as well. Another Almodovar would be terrific, though it hasn't even been a year yet since the last one so I don't think I'd predict one for November.

Ghost Dog could be on its way, as well? Might be too early since they announced that Q and A supplement, but perhaps not.

No, that one’s not Sony. When it comes, it will almost certainly be via Warner, Warner Archive, or Criterion. You might have been thinking of His Girl Friday on Sony’s new UHD poll.

I wonder if they are going to postpone the WKW box-set because of the pandemic and it's effect on their ability to do interviews and put together the extra features.

No worries, and sadly no guarantees if or when it’s coming. Damn thing should have been out years ago. Maybe we get lucky next week!

No Kurosawas so that we get that boxset in 2021.
Homicide is one of my most wanted upgrades. Now that House Of Games has come.....it's definitely time.

That would one heck of a month. Bringing Up Baby and Winchester 73 would be Day 1 titles for me.

Talking box sets, a set with the Jackie Chan films Janus seems to have acquired would be clutch.

Or some John Woo.

I feel like we’ll be seeing more films of this ilk in the coming years.

Has anyone ever talked about putting Walker on Blu? Alex Cox has Repo Man on Criterion and they did the DVD, so I wouldn't think there would be an issue there.

Fortune Star did a good deal with Criterion it sounds like (Police Story and Bruce Lee films). Although I don't consider these films essentials, these are extremely fun movies and I would love to see them on Blu-ray no matter who releases it. I'm hoping for the re-release of the Killer and maybe Hard Boiled if Fortune Star got the rights back again.

I wonder what other Fortune Star titles could be released by Criterion. A Better Tomorrow and Once Upon a Time in China are both great contenders.

Since the Lewton titles seem to have dried up over at Shout I’m hoping Criterion releases I Walked With a Zombie.
