Looks like it. Hopefully we get announcements today. I just want to know if we are getting the Irishman or not.

Me, too, on "The Irishman".

It almost would seem obvious, but I've learned you never can tell with them.

Waiting for the Criterion announcements are quite intense (My first time). Reminds me a lot of Hitchcock

I hate when they do this. Just post a tweet saying they’re coming tomorrow.

Very much would love a standalone of The Last Picture Show. Better yet, could we see a Bogdanovich box set of that with What's Up, Doc? and Paper Moon? How there's no Blu-ray releases of the latter two is beyond me.

EDIT: You know what, I give up. I'm not waiting any further. Gonna go read some film essays and catch up on some emails and work

The worst parts about waiting for Criterion announcements is the uncertainty on days like this followed by the millions of joke posts that will follow (I.e. “They’re up! Freddy Got Fingered got announced!”)

What's Up Doc was released on Blu-Ray back in 2010 (although the US version seems to be OOP). A German release is still available.

Paper Moon was released in the UK by Masters Of Cinema in 2015 ('B' locked).

In the 10+ years I’ve been waiting for Criterion announcements, that was definitely the darkest time. Especially when the monthly announcements got delayed for 3 days only for the separate Godzilla announcement to be delayed a week

Gosh, I didn't even recall that domestic Doc release. Still is a shame that both of those haven't seen better editions in the States. No one had quite a run like Bogdanovich did and it'd be stellar to see a label give them some definitive treatment especially in the wake of TCM's podcast with him which is sensational for those who haven't listened yet.
