Maybe Criterion is waiting to release them until tomorrow on my birthday! That'd be a great b-day present 4 me.

I just kind of wish they would just tell us that their announcements are going to be delayed to a certain date. That would be nice.

Maybe they'll finally make the jump to 4K blu-ray? Kinda feels like they're waiting to announce something big...

Seriously though, does knowing a day or two later what comes out three months away really matter?

The extra wait to announce their first UHD will be worth it!

Having just watched the wonderful documentary An Accidental Studio, I am curious about the possibility of Criterion releasing The Long Good Friday, Mona Lisa, and Withnail & I.

Does anyone have any thoughts or information on who has the rights to these classics from Handmade Films?

You probably contribute about one penny's worth of each employee's salary, so if you PM me your Paypal address I'll gladly refund your 40 cents on their behalf.

It is because of films like this that I would be so frustrated if I did not have a region free player as Arrow has put out great editions of these in the UK.

A lot goes into these announcements such as their special features, artwork, etc. I think they're just making sure their ducks are in a row before they actually announce it. This probably means its pretty special.

Why haven’t they said anything like they did the last time announcements were this late?

No clue. I'm actually surprised they are so quiet. Normally when they are late, something big is around the corner.

At this point they're only one day late, so nothing to be that alarmed about. If they don't announce by this evening, then that is a bit out of the ordinary.

They've been liking tweets today, so they're not completely checked out. Huh.

They might tweet something tonight about the delay like the last time they were two days late.
