I went to see the premiere of the Lynch (One) documentary in NYC because it advertised the director would be there. Like a dummy I thought it would be Lynch but instead it was the documentary’s director, some guy named blackANDwhite. Needless to say I was very disappointed and felt very stupid.

I'm actually holding on buying more Kurosawa films on blu-ray just to see if there's any hint for a Kurosawa boxset, LOL

I agree there are lot more they could put out at least on the Eclipse label.
Its like what they did with the Essential Arthouse line, they had it for awhile and then got replaced with Eclipse but we need more.

Sorry to Bother You starts out good but falls apart about half way. Would much rather see The Spook Who Sat by the Door. That is a film that is very much needed to be rescued from obscurity and "open domain" releases and restored and packaged with Criterion's excellent supplements. One of the most subversive films ever.

Twin Peaks is solely responsible for my coffee (and to a lesser extent, pie) consumption. Wasn't a regular coffee drinker until I watched the show around the time that Gold DVD set came out. I stopped after college, but picked up again after the Blu-ray release.

Random question but does anyone know if there's a possibility that any Marguerite Duras film are going to be available on Blu-ray? I'm planning on watching India Song (1975) again tonight (Last day on MUBI) but I'm really hoping that a company like Criterion would pick it up but it sounds like there aren't any rumors for her films. Hoping to see her films again in the future but knowing that it's rare to find her films (Except for on YouTube) on home video around the world. Hopefully, a company (Most likely Criterion) will release her works one day

Criterion really should go for Dead Presidents. It's such an unappreciated film and I think it would sit comfortably with the now appreciated Bamboozled.

Would love to see it get released on blu but I doubt Disney gives a shit.
