Seeing the evidence that came out the "Shroud of Turin" (or the cloth that Christ was wrapped in after the crucifixion) showed a man that had been beating beyond belief. (Check 26:00 mark on this video)
History Channel - The Real Face of Jesus from the Turin Shroud - YouTube
I was crying watching this on the History Channel so trying to get through the "Passion" which visualized the inhumane act that lead to that is just to much for me.
I thought the Shroud of Turin was carbon dated to be between 1000-1300 so that proved it wasn't Christ. Has that evidence been disproved?

I can definitely understand that; I'm not a fan of bloody films either, but that was an important one. I'm still not sure what to think about the Shroud of Turin, though; if the imprint is real, then it was a brilliant move on God's part. If not, its pretty scary how accurate some things can appear.

Carbon dating is extremely unreliable; scientists once dated the skin and bones of the same (frozen) mammoth to be at vastly different ages, by millions of years. As such, I don't place much stock in it.

This was on some documentary I saw a couple years ago and they said they had dated the linen to be around 700-1000 years old or something like that. They also were able to prove that the Shroud of Turin was an actual burial cloth than encased a man with some 3D imaging because there were plenty of skeptics saying it was a piece of art for a while.

Ray Rogers, who was one of the lead scientists on the research team that carbon dated the shroud, admitted that the sample they took of the shroud could have been from an area that upon later inspection appeared to have repaired at some point.

Yep, there goes that evidence. Is anyone ever going to be able to date a piece of linen that has blood on it?

It's an anime...most people are deterred from watching it just because they dislike anime or rather what they think all anime are (pokemon). That being said, I was able to get the most avid anime-haters to watch once I convinced them to just start it. I think we all know what scene is the big tear jerker ("we" being those who listed it). I'm hoping everyone who posts in this thread will give this one go.

An oldie that destroyed me as a kid and almost left me emotionally scarred for life was E.T. lol

More recently I recall 50/50 left me with tears when he was just about to go into surgery and he grabbed onto his mother and said "Mommy". Most of us guys are big suckers for our moms. haha

I am surprised no one has mentioned THE ROAD yet! Both times I cried like a little girl at the end.

[Show spoiler]All the father wanted for the whole movie was to protect his boy. He did everything possible. But in the end we realize even the strongest of us are only human and can not defeat death. It's something that we can not overcome. And the boy was left in that scray world without his father. So sad.

I cry at everything. I'm a big baby.

I was soft as a kid with that stuff, but as most of us probably experienced, adolescence toughens you up a bit. But now in my mid-20's, I got back in touch with that inner kid and just blubber all the time now. For me, it's specific moments that get to me. I don't just go off the whole way through. Sometimes a bit of dialogue, or a specific image does it, or sometimes an entire scene, in either a sad way or a tears of joy sort of way. And sometimes I'm just so enamored by the beauty of something that I let loose (or in some cases, the insanity of something causes me to let the water-works loose from sheer amazement). I think I shed a tear or get glassy-eyed or form a lump in my throat at nearly every movie I watch. I'm a sap for sentimentality.
Ones that come to mind:

Avengers -
[Show spoiler]Coulson

Dark Knight - Gordon's closing narration
Memento - I did it
Inglourious Basterds - Cat People
Rise of the Planet of the Apes -
[Show spoiler]"Caesar is home"

Toy Story 3 - take a guess
Batman Returns - The masquerade ball
Edward Scissorhands - "Hold me" "I Can't" *embrace*
Alien 3 -
[Show spoiler]Ripley's martyrdom

All-Star Superman - the last 5 minutes
Buried - various moments
On Her Majesty's Secret Service - "We've got all the time in the world"
The Crow - the end
The Fly - the end
Batman: Under the Red Hood - "This is the best day of my life"
Kill Bill vol. 2 - "Mommy"
Leon - the end
Escape from the Planet of the Apes - the end
Christine -
[Show spoiler]Artie's death

Ed Wood - several moments
Fire Walk With Me - the end
May - the end (starts out with tears then finishes with terror)
Star Trek ('09) - the beginning!
Terminator SCC - end of last episode

and there were several points throughout the various DC Animated Universe series that got to me as well.

There's likely a bunch more. This ones stick out, though.
