Yup that part of the Sixth Sense gets me too and the ending of The English Patient. Recent ones would be Atonement and Toy Story 3. My sister-in-law told me Hachi will make you have the sniffles too.

That was the only movie where my mum had to explain to me how films were made, that they were just actors and it was all just like a play that we'd see in the theatre. I was very young and in absolute pieces at the end and I was totally convinced
[Show spoiler] that the little boy had just lost his father. And then when he just kept saying "wake up Champ" I totally lost it

More like certain scenes in movies and it could either be crying from sadness or joy......

Forrest Gump(sadness)....when he's at Jenny's grave. When she first tells him he has a son.

Castaway(sadness)....When he has to let go of Wilson after all they have been through together.

Titanic(Joy)....When rose has died and goes back to the ship to be with her love and everyone again.

Planes Train and Automobiles (sadness).....When Del Griffith is confronted by Neal Page and learns Del's wife is dead and he's been basically messed up ever since.

Star Wars Return of the Jedi(joy)....The ending when Vader destroys the emperior, saves his son and redeems himself.

Aliens(joy)....When the Alien queen is just about to get newt and Ripley opens the door, decked out in the "loader". Considering she lost the chance to be with her own daughter and how much she had cared for newt, the scene was incredibly powerful.

I'm sure I can think of tons more, but those spring up....

That has to be the SADDEST scene in movie history. I dont know ANYONE who can sit through that with a dry eye. The hardest hearts I've shared it with have broken down in that scene.

The sandler movie Click actually made me tear up towards the end. It was surpsingly good in my opinion, especially compared to the usual movies Sandler does.

"My Dog Skip" made me blubber like a little girl with a skinned knee.
But "Old Yeller " was the first one to do that!

I've never cried phantom tears. Emotional content in a movie isnt an outlet to cry my own emotion. I try let a movie move me on its own. Ive never "balled" but many well up moments, watery eyes, sobbing with choking breath.

Frequency - father/son voices across time = touching

Shawshank - I well up with joy at the end with the ocean.

Forest Gump - Tom hanks gets me at "their tree" grave site.

Field of dreams - "Hey rookie, you were good" That camera move is remarkable and gets me close to streaming tears without fail. And the obvious follow up when he notices its his father and they talk and throw the ball, and the music demands your tears.

Glory - welling tears at various points. Horner again on music <3

Green Mile - The old man talking with the woman in the home, at the end and it turns into a voiceover. Gets me teary sometimes.

Patriot - with the girl and gibson hugging. tear or two.

Apollo 13 - joyous tear

-----------

Now if this thread allows TV? West Wing has about 50-100 tear jerking moments that get me

I think you mean BAWLED. It's really none of our business if you've never "balled" yet.

So the only movies I can think of that made me cry are a few:
1. Crash - where that store owner goes after the locksmith, and the locksmith's son gets between his dad and the store owner..."He's not wearing (the cloak)!" that part had me crying! The father/son bit always gets me too especially now that I have sons in my life!
2.Passion of the Christ - obvious reasons including the flagellation and the Mary scene reflecting on Jesus being a boy to Him carrying the cross...
3. Pursuit of Happyness - at the end where he got accepted for that job, and his reaction from that...priceless!
4. Princess Mononoke - the kudama at the end after the forest gets replenished with life...that little "tick-tick-tick"...
5. The Land Before Time - where Littlefoot lost her mother...scarred for life!! Lol!!
6. Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon - where Lee Mu Bai saves his last breath and confesses his love...Michelle Yeoh did a great job on the acting part, same with Chow Yung Fat!
7. Patriot - that "poppa" scene always gets me!!
I got choked up on A Perfect World..."BUTCH!" same with The Lion King and Up...that's it I think!
