I've cried in a lot of movies... a lot lol

But I would say that the one that had me chocking up and really trying to hold them back actually wasn't even a movie, it was the LOST series finale

I hate admitting this - but.... Mulholand Drive. Yeah, when Rebbekah Del Rio sung "crying" at the Silencio theater. The reactions from the girls and the mood/emotions that the film had set up to that point. I dunno. It kind of got me. And thats rare. Im usually a tough guy.

I've found...especially in the last few weeks, that I either cry, or get really close to tears during a lot of movies, especially ones that I wouldn't expect.

I cried during:

Dear John
[Show spoiler](not the love story, but when the father was dying).

Goodfellas:
[Show spoiler]When De Niro got the call after Pesci got made. That got me, and I have no idea why.

And my most embarrassing time crying in a movie... Madea's Big Happy Family:
[Show spoiler] It's an awful movie, but I saw it right after my Father passed away from cancer and that story arc got me.

My list for movies that made me cry:

My life (when His father shaves his son in bed)
Powder (when Powder was communicating with the sherifs wife)
Passion of the Christ (Jesus torture and when he carried the cross was sooo hard to watch)
Braveheart (when he kneels down to kiss his wife...goodbye forever)
The Impossible (almost the whole movie had touching moments)
The Dark Knight rises (the end bomb scenario)
Moulan Rouge (Nicole Kidmans last show)
Battle for Terra (ending)
I am Sam

Same here. I got misty during the
[Show spoiler]furnace scene. I thought HOLY CRAP this is the ending and thought it would have been just an OMG moment
. Then the real ending happened and I was an emotional child again. It just struck such a chord with me. We never had a lot of money when I was growing up so the toys I had had a lot of sentimental value to me. I appreciated every one I had. These films brought that back out of me.

The wrestler made me cry as well now that I think of it. Wrestling always has/had a spot in my heart because of a still to this day good buddy of mine. His parents would get the ppv's every month and I would go over there to watch them. His dad and my dad died pretty close to one another and we were both just about to graduate high school and our time together watching wrestling is always one of my favorite memories.

And yes to the LOST finale. I watched season 1 and then stopped watching until the last year. I got caught back up with Netflix the month before the last season and while seasons 1-3 were much better than the rest, when it ended it felt like there was a hole. Weird considering I had not watched it in years. "We have to go back!"

The first time I really cried over a movie was Grave of the Fireflies when I was around 13. Actually when I was a kid I used to be a real cry baby, but my early intellectual developments after reading stuff like Marx's Das Capital at 9 had somehow made me hate the old me and I always felt disgust in crying. But somehow Grave of the Fireflies really got me and the next day I actually for some reason felt good. So I thought really crying over sometimes feels good after all. But still the trend of not crying over stuff continued. The only other thing that made me cry till 15 was reading Metamorphoses. But after I got Braveheart on Blu-ray and watched it I started uncontrollably crying at the end, and I already watched the film once before. But after that there were a rare few movies that really made me cry over and for different reasons. Like

1. The Thin Red Line, the scene of the attack on the Japanese Soldiers with the Hans Zimmer music really had me and before I realized there were tears rolling down.
2. Chungking Express for a very strange reason, I actually got pretty emotional in a happy way at the ending and cried in happiness and havibg realized how great a film I watched.
3. Shawshank Redemption, but rather from sadness it was from realising that I actually had watched maybe the greatest film ever made.
4. Ikiru reallly had me.
5. Solaris, cause it felt like someone had gone into my head and preserved my dreams forever. I don't know why I feel so personally connected to this film. Infact it felt like my vision was realized rather than Tarkovsky's.
6. In the Mood for Love really drained me.
7. La Strada had me crying at the end.
8. Raging Bull, Robert De Niro in the prison scene really drains me.
9. Castle in the Sky
10. Apur Sansar had me teary eyed in many places.
11. How Green was my Valley
12. Howls Moving Castle
13. Memories of Murder, the part where the choice has to be made between the little girl and the protagonists wife, ripped my heart out.
14. Finally Blade Runner, actually I think its me marvelling at it's greatness then actually being sad.

On top of what I posted earlier in this thread, I have to admit that my eyes got watery when I watched my Blu-ray of E.T.: the Extra-Terrestrial a few months back.

I mean, I know all along that it's just some fake rubber misshapen thing, but...dude, it's a sad movie.

I cried a little or should I say held it in during the scene when IP Man fought ten Japanese martial artists and kicked there asses after having his friend killed in front of him! I do did shed a few tears during the last battle in the Return of the King when Théoden King gave his speech and stormed down the valley with his men even while being out numbered 5 to 1!

I also get emotional when I watch Fists of the North Star....shhh don't tell any one!

Let's not pretend that friend. We both know it's much more.
