Yep, sorry about that. I like to use the more literal translation because the god Pan has nothing to do with the movie, and I think it's a pretty dumb "translation"!

I haven't cried in years (no i'm not a mucho man or anything like that, I just don't cry for some reason). Oh well, when I first saw the original King Kong, death scen of darth vadar (staw wars: return of the jedi) and Blade Runner I cried.

Should we consult a physician, to get the clinical definition?
Quote:
cry   /kraɪ/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [krahy] Show IPA verb, cried, cry⋅ing, noun, plural cries.
–verb (used without object) 1. to utter inarticulate sounds, esp. of lamentation, grief, or suffering, usually with tears.
2. to weep; shed tears, with or without sound.
3. to call loudly; shout; yell (sometimes fol. by out).
4. to demand resolution or strongly indicate a particular disposition: The rise in crime cried out for greater police protection.
5. to give forth vocal sounds or characteristic calls, as animals; yelp; bark.
6. (of a hound or pack) to bay continuously and excitedly in following a scent.
7. (of tin) to make a noise, when bent, like the crumpling of paper.
Key thing to look at is 'tears'. If it said to shed a tear then it would be different or even misty eyed. However it says 'tears' therefore my statement still holds true.

So you can stop crying about it.

I went to school with Ian Smith had a few classes with him. He was the tiny guy in the movie. He sure didn't like to be called "Simon Bircch" though haha he hated that.

That counts you little sissy boy. Are you afraid your dad will read this and whip you for being a little girly man?

I'll freely admit to crying in movies as I've posted the two that made me in my recent memory, however most guys who are adamantly non-macho in their own minds do tend to be weaklings. I think someone can be a macho man and cry at movies. Crying in a movie is one thing, crying because someone's being "a meanie" to you is a completely different thing for any self respecting man. They don't have to project bravado in their daily life and social interactions but to me a man is whole heartedly anti-macho in his own mind is a guy who is hard for me to respect. I can't think of any man who absolutely outwardly despises machismo on all levels whose confidence or convictions I presently respect. Are there any respectable men out there who don't have a trace of these traits?

I'm just joking around and I agree with your statement. I'm just giving him a hard time because its not a big deal if you don't cry at movies.

I think that I would of if it wasn't for the
[Show spoiler]jellyfish
.

If they would of cut that part out and had it 'end' a different way, then it probably would of affected me more.

Marley and Me got me real bad.
[Show spoiler]Had to have my dog put down, too. I didn't cry when she was put down. I was at work so my parents did the deed. When I watched the last few minutes of the movie, though, I could have easily lost it.

Mr. Holland's Opus - Such an under rated flick with a GREAT performance by Dreyfus. I just couldn't control myself when
[Show spoiler]he walks in to the room at the end
. I can't imagine even watching it now that I have a son. For some reason, father/son, father/daughter stuff gets to me more now.

Stand By Me - not really the first time I watched it (in theaters). But later on after River Phoenix died I was watching it on DVD for the first time. There is a part in the end where Gordie and Chris are the only 2 left and they are saying goodbye.

Chis says I'll see you and Gordie replies back, not if I see you first.

The narrator then gives the update about Chris breaking up a fight and getting stabbed, and ends it with "and although I hadn't seen him for 10 years, I know I will miss him forever."

The scene had a whole different context to me at that point.

The Champ - every time

Rudy - only the first time I saw it. Maybe not cried, but choked up and watery.

Slumdog - Just a little tear.

La Bamba - There, I said it. Riiiitttchiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieee eeeeee.

Donnie Brasco - the watch

Rocky - Adriannnnnnnnnnnn

Rocky 3 -
[Show spoiler]When Mickey dies

Finding Neverland

Man on the Moon

Field of Dreams

My Girl

3 movies.

Braveheart, when the girl gives him the flower.

My Girl - she did an amazing job at the funeral.

The Professional - Natalie Portman was an incredible child actress. That scene at the end gets me everytime as he tries to get her to leave.
