Yeah, I’d have to say so. Any of us coming from plasma went right to OLED and are quite pleased. The only thing left for OLED to conquer is the extreme NITS performance you can get out of some top tier LCDs but that’s not a huge concern. Contrast and perfect blacks trump NITS every time.

With Panasonic entering the fray we’ll have more choices too which is great. I’m considering a 77” OLED a as an upgrade from my 65” which is still basically perfect. And it has 3D support too - the last of its kind. Just have to decide on a Sony or an LG. Or, see what Panasonic has to offer.

My advice to you would be to wait for Micro-LED. People are so impatient and not willing to wait for a great thing.

That was my advice to him. Don't make a lateral move in technology just to keep up with the Joneses, wait until a real advancement in display tech occurs.

We received our first allocation of Panasonic OLED displays last week and our next allocation is shipping tomorrow.

These are all brand new factory sealed and have Panasonic's full 1 year parts and labor warranty. We're also offering a 3 year extended warranty for $350.

I would assume videophiles don’t support Samsung.

We've probably got, like, a decade before microLED becomes a realistic option for the average person. I won't sit around waiting. OLED can be enjoyed right now.

Exactly this. And it’s far from a guarantee that microLED will even look better than OLED when it gets here.

Ah - I hate to burst your bubble but . . . OLED still is not a realistic option for the average person. Not at current prices. And they can't lower the prices because the yield issue still hasn't been dealt with . . . 10 years after the first OLED went on sale.
