I've been trying to find hi-red/high quality versions of the images used for those VHS covers so that I can make Blu-Ray covers based on them, but I've had no luck. If anyone has hi-res images that could work for this or finds a link to where I could get them, could you PM me? I'd like to make these and I will post them here when completed.
Those were kind of neat. If they continued them for the prequels, I could see the face shots being like this

Ep I - Darth Maul (obvious I know lol)
Ep II - Dooku
Ep III - Greivous

Then for the smaller images, maybe a duel or some 'action scene' from each film, with Ep III being Anakin vs Obi-Wan.

Censoring people's comments by deleting them probably just made the situation worse. How can we learn from the experience or have our voices heard if our posts are deleted.

Anyway, seeing as my post was deleted, this has kinda turned me off and away from this thread. So you can find me on AVS or DVD Covers Fuzion if you like my work.

Bye.

Thanks Beta. That was becoming a black eye on this thread. Let's keep this about the cover art and let the feedback we give help others develop their skills. I hate to see 3 people leave over that squabble, just hope they come back, no matter their views on criticism.

I'm thinking Dark Anakin (officially Vader, I guess) should be the Episode III cover.

I am not a huge fan of the faces art, a Stormtrooper is not THAT important lol

I am going this way:

Only the classics

But in saying that I was messing with this:

I have manged to finish my booklet for the Season Six which I believe is released on Monday in the US. I also went back and updated/fixed the previous seasons.
So here they are...

Season 1

Download

Season 2

Download

Season 3

Download - US Version
Download - UK Version

Season 4

Download

Season 5

Download
Download - HMV Bonus Disc Version

Season 6

I'm thinking of doing a sort of 'mega book', combining bits from all the books for the complete collection, if people want it.

Here's the finished product for Black Hawk Down. I'll be working on Braveheart next.

That is correct. I noted in this thread that I would be leaving most of the back covers alone for the war collection. If you notice with the Battle of Britain cover though I changed the back cover significantly.

Yeah, it would be cool. They aren't my favorite covers of all time for Star Wars or anything, but they are cool for what they are, and I'd like to make Blu-Ray versions of them, but I need to find good Hi-Res versions of the images used for those covers, and I can't find any to save my life.

Well, if I can find the Hi-Res images of the Original Trilogy covers and make those into Blu-Ray cases, I actually plan to create equivalent versions for the prequels as well from 'scratch'. I don't want to try to recreate the OT covers from scratch because the concept that I am going with is to take that exact concept from the 1995 covers, and make a set for all 6 movies.

As for who I would use for the prequel covers...

For Episode 1, Darth Maul does seem like a good choice. But his screen time in the movie was much smaller than what it should have been (IMO). I was also actually thinking about putting Darth Sidious on the cover since he pretty much is "The Phantom Menace".

Though, I am sort of kicking around the idea of putting Qui Gon on the cover, though I'm not sure about it. I have a love/hate relationship with the character (Liam Nissan did a good job with the roll, but in some respects his character is pointless in that IMO Obi Wan should have been the one doing all of the stuff he did like finding Anikin, insisting he gets trained, etc). I don't want to put Obi Wan on this cover since he's just an apprentice in this movie (and I have other ideas for the other covers that rule him out of those). And it would be nice to get one "good" character on one of the covers. With the OT covers, Ep 6 has Yoda on it. So it would be nice to have one good character on one of the PT covers. Plus, putting a good character on the Ep 1 cover makes sense since that's before the Clone War/Rise of the Empire, with Yoda being on Ep 6 which is when the Empire falls.

I'll get to my thoughts on Episode 2's covers shortly (my response to your Count Dooku suggestion will make more sense if you know what I have in mind for Ep 3's cover first), but for Episode 3, I'm leaning towards putting Anikin on the cover, after he becomes "Darth Vader", but before he becomes "DARTH VADER" (meaning after he has been given the title, but before he is all mangled up and put in the suit). I know he basically looks the same, but I'll try to find an image of him where he looks angry with the red-ish eyes.

For Episode 2, I will most likely either go with a Clone Trooper or Jango Fett. Not that Count Dooku is a bad idea, but I don't want to use him because as it is I want to go with Anikin/Vader for the Ep 3 cover. And I don't want too many "regular human" faces on the boxes (IMO that would be boring). As it is I am kicking around Qui Gon for Ep 1, though will likely go with Sidious (since while human, the hood over his head makes him more interesting looking). If I go with the Clone Trooper, it would make a nice parallel with the Ep 5 box cover with the Storm Trooper, plus Ep 2 is "Attack of the Clones". Jango also works similarly along that same line of logic... he is the basis for the clones, who are the basis for what ultimately become the Storm Troopers.

So, that's what I will likely do, provided I get the OT boxes worked out.

Well, true that the Trooper isn't that important, but there are tons of them. I mean, it is in many ways the "face" of the Empire, and it is on the "Empire Strikes Back" cover.

But I do see your point. As I said earlier, these aren't my all time favorite SW covers/posters by any means. But, I like them for what they are, and would like to adapt them into Blu-Ray covers.

I appreciate that. I won't start printing them off until next week so maybe I'll tinker with the titles a little bit.

Ok guys I think this is going to be it and all of the covers will have the same design for the spine title and front cover title.

Thanks Mr. J! Good to hear that someone else may like my covers.
I think that those who are left will back soon here...the time will heal these disagreements.

These are so good! I've always wanted the blus to have episode guides and finally now they can! I simply have to have these!

Where is good for printing in the UK, peeps? There is nowhere local I can think of that would be decent enough to do it but these are so good!
