Is it true that Universal have recently been snooping around Blu-Ray production facilities? I remember a comment on this thread earlier and one of the insiders confirmed it.
Paid, penton would you happen to know any more? |

Outline fonts also allow the user to increase the font size with no loss of clarity in the case of using a small screen (think portable or car video here) or sitting far away from the screen. Saying you can emulate font outlines by using two lines of offset text is like saying a VW with a leather steering wheel emulates a BMW or Mercedes. And doing drop shadows using offset text for bitmaps has been around for years. Last edited by kjack; 10-25-2007 at 04:08 PM. |

Arrested Development is Fox.
My Name is Earl is also Fox, though aired on NBC. Veronica Mars aired on UPN and CW but is produced by Warner. I would love to see all of these on BD ![]() BTW, just look at the DVD sets on Amazon and they have the studio listed in the details... The Unit is also released by Fox... |

The problem is that some employees have homes in the surrounding environs like Poway etc., so they’ve had to leave their residences and evacuate to safer areas. I believe that, at this time, it is undetermined if/how many employees may have lost their homes to the fire. |

Their people have been sniffing around for awhile……….which indicates how invalid past statements by Alan Bell are regarding disc production.

I think the only obvious course for Universal is to go neutral, there are just too many small things happening that all seem to add up to that... guess we'll find out next year. Maybe when Paramount is done with their contract, they will s&*tcan Alan Bell, using him as their fall guy.

It's a Fox property, but don't expect it to be released on BD anytime soon. This has nothing to do with CBS, though.

I've been wanting to ask this for a few weeks. So in your signature, those are obviously Blu-ray manufacturers, but what do the numbers mean? For example, does 2/0 mean "two players announced, none released?" What's throwing me from that logic is Panasonic w 2/5 since they obviously cannot release more players than they've announced. ![]() |

One thing that stumps me, a fox title "Rise of The Silver Surfer" is blu-ray with BD+ !
YET in Europe I believe it is available on HD-DVD region free (and easy to pirate) doesn't that totally defeat the purpose of Fox bothering with BD+ when it's HD content can be purchased from overseas without the security? Why can't fox control what media format distributors release their movies on, and or specify clauses to stop their films been relased on a format they don't back, it's very strange. Yet Spielberg can stop his films from been released by Universal on HD-DVD. |
