Word is Kanye West and Seal will be providing the auditory entertainment…..the visuals, well you guys know.

I’ll find out when it airs on CBS, if it isn’t listed yet somewhere on the internut.

The Ravens are seriously getting it handed to them right now, and they are killing me! The guy in my fantasy football league has the Steelers defense, and so far the Ravens haven't managed to move the ball at all.

I heard a rumor that the Spice Girls would be "performing" as well...

This could wind up being the biggest blowout in the NFL this year...and it's still the first half!

It's KILLING me! I don't care who wins, but if the Steelers' D keeps up the way they are going, I will lose my fantasy game. The Ravens O-Line is getting manhandled!

EDIT (5-minutes later): Thank god for that first Ravens TD, WHEW!

Paid, I love my PS3. When first connecting it, i had to go through the trouble of setting up the WI FI and down loading the up date. I got one of the first ones out (the 60gig). I was wondering if the new ones come with the most recent up date. I was planning on helping my little sister get her family one for Christmas. They dont have Internet to down load up dates. It would make it experience better if the kids could jump right into playing games.

I have noticed that recent TV commercials of new Blu-ray releases indicated something to the effect of "Available Tuesday on DVD and Blu-ray High Definition". The same thing is in print: "Blu-ray High Definition".
I see what you're getting at. How about "Available Tuesday on DVD and in High Definition on Blu-ray". Or even better: "Available Tuesday on DVD and in High Definition exclusively on Blu-ray".

Download the firmware update onto a flash drive for them and help them install it.

Why not put Blu-ray first and DVD second?

I havent tryed that yet on mine. I do WI FI. I'll try to give it a shot. If they dont come with it now, the experience could be improved by having it already on it.

Here's the step-by-step. It's pretty simple, I update mine that way since I don't have it connected to my network yet.

To any insider, this question is related to the PS3, would it be possible for Sony to allow users to prioritorize their audio preferences when it come sto movies?

For example I could list:
1. pcm
2. True HD
3. DTS-MA
etc.

This way once a Blu-ray is inserted, the audio is already selected for me and I can just start watching the movie.

Thanks

I find it hard to beleive that people don't know this.

Hmm maybe along with putting pictures of PS3 games on the back of the systems box how about pictures of movies it plays,

but really how can anyone not know it plays movies
Remember only the first half million PS3 had talladega nights, the rest have been moviesless until the new 40GB with Spiderman3 now, i think they should include a BD sample disc at least with all PS3, a movies is preffered, but something to show what they might be missing.

Remember FW come out almost once month for teh PS3 or maybe every two months. The concoles will ship from the factory with the newest FW available at build time, but remember this machines are build over seas, and then shipped over(i think they stopped flying them already). The best recomendation is the USB thumb drive, im sure is really easy, i also use wi-fi and love it.

About the comercials, i think a way to fix that is to word it and say it as so:

Also available on High Definition Blu Ray Disc.

P.S. I hate cables.

Default Close Encounters in Germany

Paidgeek,

I have asked before, probably it got lost, therefore I try again:

Why has the German version of CE3K Dolby True HD AND DTS HD in German but English is only in Dolby Digital? I thought, this underrepresentation of the original language has stopped? Are there more discs in the future without lossless English sound coming in Germany?

I will have to import this movie.

PS3s always come with the latest firmware as of the time they were produced. If you buy a 40GB now they've only been in production a short time, so should have the latest firmware. In addition games also come with the latest firmware they've been tested with, so if a game requires a newer one than the one that's included on the PS3 it'll allow you to install it off the game disc. I actually made use of this when I first got my PS3, as the firmware that it came with back then didn't properly support my wireless setup. In other words - firmware updates will never be a problem with games. BD related updates are the only problem that you'll have to take care of manually.

Putting it last gives it more emphasis. But, as a recent example, I have noticed that Comcast cable-inserted ads are truncating, at times, the ending of the Ratatouille commercial; thus, impacting that intended emphasis.

ack pentoms respect lvl from me went from 100 to 99.9 : ( if it were the pat's tho it would have dropped to like 10.

gdamnit tho if ben woulda stayed in uninjured i woulda won my Fantasy game. i woulda won also if AP didnt have his amazing day. shenanigans!

question: in terms of letting people know + marketting. Based on the info shown around that x amount of ps3 owners dont know it does blu-ray etc but like alot have hdtv. how feasable would it be for sony to lets say send emails or messages or something to everyone who is subscribed to the psn network via a ps3 which shows them info on blu-ray and perhaps offer them a free movie like outta a choice of 5. Not just for people who buy one lets say today and hook it up ni a week but for people who purchased it even 5 months ago. Raising awareness at the cost of perhaps 1 movie per unit *altho less cus not everyone is on the psn network* or something similar if not the psn network.
