Fox Sports is reporting that Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and his wife Jamie, the team's CEO, are getting divorced, and it is not amicable. The couple has been married since 1979 and bought the team together in 2004. California law states that each party is entitled to 50% of all assets. It is not known if there is any prenuptial or post nuptial agreement that might dictate who gets ownership of the team. The article states that Jamie McCourt may be in better position to buy out her husband.

So are the Yankee fans going to show up tonight? 44 degrees with a 60% chance of rain, sounds like baseball weather to me. If they make it to the World Series there could be some horrible weather.

haha..I hear ya...the conditions are going to suck. I had an opportunity off of StubHub to get tickets(way overpriced, of course) for tomorrow's game but it's in the upper deck and it's supposed to be the same crappy weather..so I decided not to go. The Angels are used to sunny days..so hopefully this weather will mess up their playing.

I heard earlier that Cashman (the Yankees GM) considered the Yankees the underdogs in the ALCS, which didn't sound right. So I looked into it, and this is what he said...

Yeah I'm just worried about that 3 man rotation I think thats a bad move. Steve philips gave a stat that was something like a 24 game swing from having a 3 man rotation instead of 4.

Yeah, it's a bad stat. I don't remember the exact numbers, but it was something along the lines of pitchers being 25-35 or something when pitching on 3-days rest.

Even if it works for this series, I'm worried CC would be burned out in the WS.

I'm also not sure what kind of faith it shows in the other "starters" (those last 2 spots in the rotation have been kind of hot-potatoed around for a good part of the season).

I'm not usually a fan of the whole "must-win" thing, but it certainly seems like tonight's game is a must-win for the Dodgers, considering they have to face Cliffy in Game 3. But then again, they had no issues with Wainwright and Carpenter, so who knows if they care.

Couldn't be more right if the series goes 7 and they put him 1,4, and maybe 7! he'd be burned out if the WS went more then 4 games.

I think he got burned out that first indians game then was given 4 days rest in 07 and came back real strong.

But for what it's worth, he was safe.

The other question is why is Girardi leaving CC out there? I know he's pitching well, but you might as well save every pitch you can out of his arm, if he's going to be pitching again soon. Maybe the 3-man rotation is a bluff, or (more likely) it's just not a big deal whether he makes 110 pitches or 100.
