Just started re watching the first series of TWD and funnily enough the first episode is called Days Gone By.

This game is so polarizing the more I think about it. On one hand it looks awesome and the World War Z vibe works for me. On the other hand I am sick to death of zombies.

Oh wow yeah LOL I didn't pick that up!

I'm excited for this game from an open world and story point of view, but so far the game doesn't look that pretty (The Last of Us was pretty lol) or "fun" in a unique way. But I look forward to seeing more!

I didn't know, thanks Goodintentions.
I said Darth Vader in Battlefront PS4, but someone else played that voice.

I wasn't paying attention at first, but now I see this guy's face is modeled off of Sam Witwer's face, the same as from the Force Unleashed games on PS3.

This is Sony's answer to XB1 getting Dead Rising 4. I'm glad about Days Gone because I don't have a dedicated open world zombie game in a 3rd person view on PS4. If there is a dead town/city to explore in this western pine landscape, I'll be very satisfied. Chances are good.

It's still funny thinking back to Sony Bend suggesting "this is something you've never seen on the PS4 before". It's a zombies game, but for me it's welcome in this case.

This isn't as far along as we'd hope for. Colin from Kinda Funny talked with them and late 2017 isn't even a safe bet for release.

The game from the video I watched by Playstation Access paints this as more a run and gun action game involving zombie esque creatures. They also stated they lowered the amounts of bullets needed to 1 per "Freak" as they're calling them. They basically use a AI system to treat them as a horde. I guess it will be more akin to Dead Rising meets Uncharted and Last of Us in terms of gameplay and story.

I hope to see the WWZ inspired "zombie spill" no less than 20 times during the game. We already got it once in the demo.

They said that the demo area shown in the mill can be tackled multiple ways and the first time may be the coolest but the idea is to challenge yourself to survive in different ways against the horde. Although one other thing mentioned is that it's a massive open world and has many different side quests alongside the main story.

Not necessarily. The story areas may see you tackle a horde but very rarely may you see it out in the open world I guess except under certain conditions and areas.

Besides, I think time will tell if it's as repetitive as we think.

Not sure if I can handle this game haha! I don't like to be chased by hordes of creatures trying to kill me. I could handle The Last of Us, and to me the most stressing part was when you were being chased in those few encounters lol.
