i just ordered issue 1 off of ebay.....it came yesterday and i'm going to read it on my lunch.

i'd also love to get it in a hardcover.....but i may just go ahead and subscribe to it from marvel.

Why? It's Deadpool. The property itself has never cared much for some world continuity. He plays by his own rules.

That would make him much older for him to be working in the present. Add in that his mission is to save his Future Baby Mama. His Future Baby Mama punches Angel Dust so we know she's in that period. Deadpool has already banged her a good bunch before he gets all cancer free. Negasonic Teenage Warhead messes w/ Twitter... from what DP says.

The film is mostly in the modern. You can't hide that. Your obsession w/ the attempt to get some continuity w/ a franchise that pretty much broke away from what it fell into to twist it to the new.

Wade Wilson in this film is not the same guy from Origins. Unless he doesn't age... there's just no way.

The film is set in the modern. Whatever year that is for DP.

Well because deadpool was in Ultimate Alliance on Xbox360 I'm going to say this movie is tied to Avengers 1 and 2.

It's set in the present. They do make a dig at Origins though. But it's completely set in the present.

Yeah, I mean, it's standalone. There's some jokes that deal with the series that some may not get if they don't know the series, but it works well enough on its own. They do go to a very familiar location from the series though.

From what I've heard, the film is already a hard R rating (someone people in LA and New York got a very early viewing of the film). If there is an uncut version of a hard R film, I'm definitely going to want that version.

X-Men: Apocalypse takes place in 1983, and just looking at Cyclops, he's roughly 20 years old in age then, which would mean he'd be about 52 years old now. We can only wonder if we'll ever see the original team in the present without another reboot happening first.

If the rumors of the last Wolverine film being Old Man Logan are true, I could definitely see it taking place in the present day of the new universe.

Yeah, but Wolverine ages a lot more slower than other mutants, so he wouldn't be that old in the present.

What year did the future segments of X-Men Days of Future Past take place in? I would think he'd have to be even older than he is in that period of time, right?
