The only sure is that 2021 has the best 4K Blu-ray releases ever like Basic Instinct, Speed, True Romance. I really hope for new 4K Blu-ray releases especially those which have stunning 4K restoration like The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Sixteen Candles, Robocop, Lifeforce, The Thing. And even those which have a 2K restoration or just a simple HD transfer like Heat, True Lies, The Abyss, Avatar, Strange Days, Near Dark.

Hasn't every one of their releases over the past year received a 4k DCP? It seems that Warner has moved to an all 4k mandate. Possibly because of HBO Max wanting to compete with Netflix. I hope it continues, and the competition spreads to other major studios. It's about time. |

These are the theatrical masters. Some of them have only been released on Bluray HD, not 4K. Like Little Women. And others, etc. |

which is interesting, since I thought the standard 4K DCP looked sharper, but obviously less colorful than the Dolby Cinema projection presentation, I'm not sure how or why that was - the other presentation I saw prior was 4K Barco laser.
