There was a problem with some AFO discs, but the problem was corrected and should not come up with current copies in the stores. Owners of the version where the subs don't come up can call our customer service number and have the disc exchanged at no cost.
Could you clarify exactly who or what number we should be calling?

The applicable Sony Pictures Home Entertainment customer support number should be in the package insert.

I would have to ask the Sony Music Entertainment people, b.t.w.- nice sound………..

For those Liverpool supporters feeling down about the Premiere League, check "B" out this Saturday as she has a gig planned in your city.
Me, I plan on being here…………

she obviously uses backing tracks but for some of the slower songs.. you could feel her voice almost it was that strong.. on tracks like Listen, and Halo and Smash into you..

I got one of the bad ones.

Still waiting on the Angels & Demons movie cash too. I think I'll take a pass on the Pelham 123 movie cash.

Ghostbusters is next.

No insert with this disc, just one of those catalog advertisements. Could you be more specific (there's not a phone number in sight anywhere on the case nor is there anything easily found at sonypictures.com/bluray)?

Guys, check the actual thread, started by Peter THX I believe, on this. The 1-800 number is in there. I called and they send you a RMA though email for FEDEX and you drop it off at a FEDEX (which I did today). It's a 3-5 week turnaround. But it's better than nothing, and doesn't cost you anything.

I've been on a SPHE roll here. Davinci Code, Air Force One, and next up is Ghostbusters!!!

Yeah, my thread

I was told to send it in standard mail, it took 3 stamps (first class). I have a bunch of padded disc envelopes, been through plenty of recall/replacements with DVD and now BD...

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment doesn't like you because you were vehemently arguing against DTS-MA in their poll. So they made you send it in at your expense.

Yup, the number is located somewhere on this page……
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...=101598&page=2

I just wasn’t inclined to advertise it on the internet and was thinking that it was included on the package insert.

Unlike what I’m told some *scientists* have claimed, the Ghostbusters Blu-ray edition comes from a NEW transfer (produced after 2005 DVD edition), and supervised by the lenser.
The Director approved the color grading from the 2005 DVD release and it was essentially matched for the Blu-ray edition by the technician with input from Mr. Kovacs (the D.P.).

Default Home Theatrer Calibration

Hello Penton,

It has been a couple of weeks since Jeff Meier of AccuCal visited my home to calibrate my home theater. In addition to calibrating my Kuro, he calibrated my audio as well (per your recommendation). I thought that I had the audio pretty well calibrated because I have Audyessy Pro enabled in my Integra Pre and I own the Pro calibration kit (and lots of practice). However, the first thing he noticed was that the audio sounded off.

All I can say is that Jeff is awesome. He is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and he has some very nice calibration tools. I am 110% pleased with the results. I just cannot believe how good the Kuro looks now. In Jeff’s words, “Your system looks and sounds glorious.”

...mind being specific about what he did to improve your sound? Treatments? Speaker placement?

I've got Audessy on my 9.8 and usually turn it off, feeling that with my bipolar deftechs, decent geometry, a quiet room and avoiding the high-end roll-off that "direct" is better... Still, hadn't heard about a dramatic improvement in SQ after a home visit calibration, would be cool to hear what you've got, and what's been done...

with your permission, dear Penton.

btw., just finished this second watching BBC's coverage of quali for 2moro's race... man, turn 8 looks crazypants on my Kuro, can't imagine it in a driver's cockpit!

There, that makes up for the 2 wheel drivel y'all normally go on about in this thread...

No, they appreciated my initiative and asked if all TrueHD supporters were as cost-saving and resourceful.

I've been so impressed with DaVinci Code and Air Force One (even though I had no idea what the Russian guys were saying to each other ), that if Ghostbusters blows me away...I may be revising my rankings below...

Paramount/Dreamworks catalog schedule is absolutely KILLER this Fall (Braveheart, Gladiator, Gump, & Indy Jones), and if they are done right could move them up quickly. Gonna be an interesting Fall with all the studios "competing" against each other...

If you look at my gallery picts you will see that I have nothing special with respect to room treatment. Jeff discussed ways to improve the acoustics in my room if I wanted to continue improving the space. OK, I am going to admit something. I had polarity problems with the rear channels (embarrassing for sure).

However, the biggest problem with my audio system was the front channels had no bottom end or balance to the range of sound coming out of the speakers. There was too much upper range sound and no bottom end and weak midrange. Jeff manually corrected the audio to flat using his Digital Analyzer and other tools. The result is the sound coming out of the B&W's is amazing. He also spent quite a bit of time improving the LFE channel. I have never heard my system sound so good.

I am sure that I am doing something wrong with how I am using Audyssey. After Jeff was completed calibrating my system he calibrated my friends system and he thought the audio was fine (Audyssey calibrated room).
