Thanks, shark, for throwing yourself on my atomic device. I guess we're callous individuals. And yes, punners is the word, in the sense that (for me, at least) any humor value was found only in the semantic choice of words and the exploitation of language for its own sake.

In other words, Squid, I'm an equal-opportunity punner- the conversational topic of the moment is entirely beside the point of my "humor" and merely caught in the crossfire (to continue the thoughtlessly violent imagery). So, if I offended, I too apologize, but let me assure you that the victims of the Nagasaki and Hiroshima blasts, while not in my reverential deference here, were at least certainly no less so than any other subject which might have happened to have moved James Cameron to rights-acquisition. Had we been discussing fictional blue alien forest-dwellers, for example, and there was an opening... I would have heartlessly punned at their expense, as well.

I think you are confusing human decency with political correctness. It's all right, lots of people do it, it's so ingrained anymore, and as Doctorossi stated, that was not the impetus for the humour anyway.

Really, Squid, one might consider it insensitive of you to use a term like "mindblowing" in the middle of this subject, as well. The pun occurred to me in the first place because the graphic nature of your term instantly called an unpleasant image to my mind.
