Well then It would be a real hoot if that city also has an iconic water tower.
The analogy would then be quite precious.

There seems to be plenty of info on MR, but not much in the way of the others and SPR is a pretty high profile title!
Kris, I don’t know anything about the Blu-ray production of SVP or War of the Worlds. Did Laser Pacific do those titles also?

If so, the work could have been performed while the employees were dealing with internal rumors of Kodak selling them to a private equity firm and concern over possible reorganizational lay-offs, thus the paucity of info available.

Funny story.....when I lived in Roxborough back when I was a wee little tike and the older kids spoke about the ‘Hershey Highway’, I always thought it was some toll road that went from Philly to Hershey Park where they have all the rides.

Please tell me that The Road is being handled by the very best, super film loving team possible. Is there any technical information that you can share about the movies move to Blu-ray disc?

Well, for one thing, as I alluded to back in Jan. here…… https://forum.blu-ray.com/insider-di...ml#post2716913

There is some sharpening baked into the D.I.
Screenshot scientists should be able to find some halos with their magnifying glasses if they stare long enough at some frames. If they can’t, then I will be truly disappointed in their lack of commitment to the *science*.

Normal hobbyists watching in real time, as well as supreme cinematographers given Lifetime Achievement awards for their work behind the lens and who watch movies for entertainment value -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSYHMeyK8xI

shouldn’t be worried about their eyes bleeding from the sharpening in post.

Hey, cool:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-I...-Review/10088/

90% of you will hate this film, but, well, you're wrong...

However, that screencap of Lily Cole completely doesn't do her justice...

Yeah. Usually she's more alien looking (like the ones at the end of Close Encounters).

I just can't believe Penton hasn't seen or doesn't remember the original Star Wars.

Hey Penton,

I would like to comment on something that universal is doing that I really appreciate.

They have set up a facebook page in which, we the consumer, can vote their next bluray releases.

To me this is a GREAT way to get fan input on titles that WE want and I hope you can talk to the powers that be to convince more studios to do something like this.

Believe me, at the time of their widespread appeal, I was heavily involved with work and when I wasn’t, I was more into ‘outdoor sports’ like this……….

If you or anyone else reading decides to attend this year - http://www.laweekly.com/events/los-a...stival-889582/ just a word of caution……make sure you bring a designated driver if you're not within walking distance of your home--for the sake of other innocent folks and yourselves. Or, if you need a more pragmatic reason not to drink and drive after the Beer Festival, keep in mind Culver City P.D. Headquarters is located only about 2 blocks away from the event and in the past, they have been known to check drivers for sobriety.

Since we missed crossing paths in San Diego by 2 weeks or so, I can tell you that a WWII movie in which Brits seem to enjoy whistling this tune while they march -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6A4zobTD0A

will be the next David Lean movie that SPHE releases on Blu-ray and has 4k restoration pedigree papers.

You pass 3 Pizza Ports/Port Brewing on your frequent trips to your SD area retreat. You should check out their beers sometime. They've been World champs for best Small Brewery.

Penton, you still haven't checked out Star Trek 2 yet have you?

I really think you'll find merit in it, and as said before, the film is essentially self contained with all information needed provided in exposition.

Nice paraphrasing.....I watched Black Dynamite last week and it was hilarious, lots of genuine laugh-out-loud moments.
Great disc too, cheers to whomever of your colleagues is responsible for it.
