Unfortunately, it means most theaters won't even be showing it as they have policies against showing unrated movies.

Saw it yesterday, interviewing the director next week...

It's not the best of docs, but it's very well done for the most part. And, yeah, offensive that they've gone out of their way to protect "kids" on something that's clearly not intended to be expectational. I counted I think one use of the word "Pus$y" without spelling it out, and some scenes of violence that are =actual= scenes of violence.

Up here in Canada it's province-by-province, and most have gone the equiv of PG-13.

And lest not any old retired minds (altered by smelling too much vinegar over the years) from other provincial forums dismiss or disparage digital restoration , because there is much more to it than some might realize, even regarding the removal of dirt in which special algorithms are developed for proprietary technology like ‘AutoClean’…http://magazine.creativecow.net/arti...riveri-in-4k/2

Neo, I’d have to check with one of the marketing people.

P.S.
btw, I see that notification of Caleb’s speaking appearance hasn’t yet made it onto the NAB website respective page... http://www.nabshow.com/2012/educatio...ter-series.asp
Oh well, be patient folks, it eventually should get listed in due course. Meanwhile, notice that Curtis Clark, ASC. (bottom right photo) is already shown. Hmm, I wonder what he will be presenting. Could be some new footage shot with the F65?
Today I notice that Caleb’s speaking appearance has now finally made it onto the Creative Master Series schedule, see “The Brave New World of Filmmaking with Digital Technologies”….

Speaking of cameras and cameramen/women, this past weekend there was a get-together on one of the studio lots in Burbank (two-day shoot), which was organized by the ASC and PGA to test five of the latest digital cameras, as well as one film camera, namely, the Sony F65, the ARRI Alexa Studio, the Canon C300, the Red Epic, the Sony PMW-F3 and the ARRI 435. The *mission*, if you will, was for the cinematographers to learn about each individual camera as well as promoting adoption of the ACES workflow …..
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...ep#post5906774

The results of this image control exercise will be revealed at this venue come June…http://www.producedbyconference.com/

Needless to say, the F65 was the first digital camera built from the ground up to support IIF-ACES.

not really. The first thing to realize is that we should be talking more Olympians vs Titans since the Titans were gods. But since the Olympians defeated the Titans and locked them in Tartarus I think it would make more sense to assume the Olympians as stronger.

now who were the titans and Olympians? Gaia in ancient greek religion was the creator she gave Birth to Ouranos together they had several children known as the Titans (though some include Gaia & Ouranos as titans as well). Kronos (the youngest of the kids defeated his father to become king of the titans and with his wife Rhea had 6 kids. Now Kronos feared the same would happen to him and so as soon as one of the kids would be born he would eat it (to kill the threat), but with the last kid (Zeus) Rhea tricked Kronos by giving him a rock instead (that he ate). Later when Zeus was grown up he defeated Kronos and freed his siblings and together those 6 (Demeter, Hestia, Hera, Hades, Poseidon and Zeus) were the original Olympian gods. this lead to the war between (most of) the Titans and the Olympians (Prometheus was a titan but fought with the Olympians).

PS also the Titans did not look like monsters as seen in many movies they looked human like the other gods. the CYCLOPS and HECATONCHIRES ( also kids of Ouranos and Gaia but not titans) where monsters but hey fought for their freedom with the Olympian gods against the titans

PPS Ouranos locked up the "monsters" in Tartarus because they were deformed, Gaia wanted their freedom (since they are her children so she made a deal with Kronos, but as soo9n as he was king of gods he locked them up again, that is why Gaia helped Rhea save Zeus so that hopefully he would free them. Also in Cyclops means one eye, and Ouranos had 3 kids born that way that where expert blacksmiths, on the other hand the Cyclops in the Homeric myth (Odyssey) is not one of these three but one of the sons of Poseidon also some of which also had only one eye.

Clearly AP is not one for dry humor, as witnessed by the above response.

IMO, Anthony P's response is a fresh bit of information that I find interesting. Nothing wrong with additional trivia.

Oh no doubt about that! It's very neat piece of information. I just think Penton was using a little dry humor, not thinking that someone might give a brief history of the Titans/Olympians and they roles they all played in Greek Mythology.

It's like if I said jokingly: "Yeah I may turn to sand waiting for LoA to be released"

Then someone posted a long piece about sand, and it's geological value to the planet.
