That's too bad, Max. Hope you're back soon!

BTW - what company do you work for? Is it a studio or hardware?

If he wanted it to be any of our business, it would be noted in the first page of this thread.

Many of our insiders are purposefully vague about their exact positions in the big picture of Blu. Please respect their privacy. Suffice to say, if you see the "insider" tag, be assured that someone from this site has vetted them and they deserve the title

Thanks!

Maybe this whole format war could be settled by a big Battle Royale at CES. Throw all the folks from all the different companies in the ring, and toss each other out until one is left standing. Just make sure you watch out for Jodi Sally sneaking up behind you in the ring with that Star Trek Tazer...

About half way down...

You predicted their would be consequences for your actions. For what it's worth - when you write the truth you have nothing to be ashamed of. Amir has said a lot of derogatory comments about the Blu-ray insiders (sometimes subtle with a big smiley face and sometimes not so subtle. ) He has also twisted (and taken things out of context) Blu-ray insiders statements to justify his inaccurate statements of "fact". Eventually these things get under your skin. It is better to do what you did than get an ulcer!

Same here. I have been a member at AVS for YEARS...but because of their censorship and the restriction on the free trade of ideas, I have migrated as well, and even after this "war" is over, I will no longer visit AVS. They have lost all credibility in my eyes. I hope this incident speaks to people and shows them how NOT to run a forum! Hopefully, everyone else will feel the same and the site will shrivel and die a quick death!

Funny thing is Max, the comments you made in that thread were benign compared to what other AVS members posted…..not to mention the truth.

Hang in there bud.
The upside is that you may have more time now to convince your girlfriend to become a Spurs supporter. It must be amusing when you both attend a Spurs vs Arsenal match together.....kinda reminds me of a scene in the movieInvincible.

Well folks, I’m not banned………..I’m just busy with bidness this week so kjack please get your butt in here and take up the slack.
Meanwhile, if people have any questions to talkstr8t and desire to post them, I’ll see if I can entice him to carry his share of the load also.

Problem is though, talkstr8t is more of a bug killer type guy (like Men in Black) and we don’t have an infestation. He may perhaps have some worthwhile tidbits, I don't know.
We’ll see.

Later.

Yikes, in my normal routine to scan my inbox for any new pics from our model mystik, I see that one member here has sent me his own cryptic post.

I say, rumor has it that wild Bill from Digital Bits ordered a few 16" x 24" blow- ups of the picture of him with the two bunnies wearing the Blu-ray T-shirts at the anniversary celebration.
It's only a rumor though.

Got to run guys.

Penton,

What say you about the Blu-ray CES promo video on the BDA site that says Batman Begins is now available (perhaps as of CES).

Thanks to g.k. who took the screenshot below.

I thought Maxpower all but confirmed this already a couple pages back. It was along the lines of "look for Batman Begins about a week before Dark Knight hits theaters, possibly reauthored for Blu-ray...and Matrix around Christmas 08."

To any insider.....

Do any of you now if there is any movement from Criterion?
I know the market isn't mature enough for them yet, but if Warner go Blu and then that's obviously the way the market goes, are they likely to move quicker?
Have they been actively "courted" by the BDA?

It obviously is not "available now" on Blu-ray at least in the states. I fully expect that it will be officially announced at CES. Being that they would only have about 5 months before it would hit stores if it's right before the Dark Knight.
