^ transitioning from street food to street art -
I admit I’m not much on marketers, but I found this pic of a mural sent to me this morning from another member to be rather cool which apparently is located in mrtickleuk’s neck of the woods…. ![]() |

I guess LordoftheRings is all Chuck Norrised out. Maybe I should have posted a pic of Thomas Cruise Mapother IV (https://www.irishmirror.ie/showbiz/i...irish-14136136 ) to get him going.
Anyway, yesterday after doing some early morning cycling, I found this tidbit about the Emerald Isle to be most interesting and encouraging - https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news...-1459842115580 |

I see, that's a bit different then, though perhaps still a bit too flickery at 24fps. I can only assume this was done so it would effectively look "standard" at 60fps with no additional processing needed, since it means the 120fps version would be needlessly blurry, and you get more correct results with these kinds of motion estimation/blur algorithms the less motion blur is in the source (similar to doing defocus in post, where the worst thing you can do is to start out with a source that isn't perfectly in focus.)

Not satisfied with the current UHD HDR options and feel the need for another solution?
No problem, Joe’s continued mission for a better mouse trap…..https://www.provideocoalition.com/na...r-hd-displays/ I can just hear HLG proponents giggling now. |

As far as the 60fps version goes, software (TrueMotion) was developed and applied to the 120fps capture in order to strike the best balance between judder mitigation and high frequency detail instead of just throwing away every other frame. All PMs answered, everything is in order, lunchtime over, later folks. |

Yep. And them Hobbitses were shot 48fps with a 270º degree shutter if memory serves. In that case if we halve the frame rate to make the 24fps version then we're left with the equivalent of a 135º shutter which would look too juddery, I recall you saying that they also had to use frame interpolation to render out a more 'correct' looking 24fps version (which in itself wasn't always successful, there are some moments of quite weird looking motion in them movies, separate from any actual aesthetic alterations e.g. slow motion or whatever).

Android is getting native support for all current commercially available HDR formats (i.e. Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG).

It's free; everyone now can develop/implement it in that aspect of safer driving @ night, and get rich. ...My gift to all, but particularly to all motorists in the world. Electric cars are where I see the best start. All fuel cars should be extinguished, like dinos and only fossils encrusted in the underground crevasses of darkness can remain. What a lovely day today on the ocean. |

So with the Disney and Fox deal officially done, now we can be curious what happens with distribution and if there will be any changes. Will fox Abandon hdr10+? Will Disney yank their fox content off Netflix and put it all on their new Disney+ service?
