Because that's Samuel L. Jackson's stand-in. Of course, we could go with the EU explanation that it's Jarek Hygon.

But seriously, I don't think we're supposed to see Anakin in such Black and White ways.

Plus... from what Cliegg Lars' says about the Sand People, I don't think anyone from Tatooine views them as anything but Animals.

I also prefer the wild debauchery tone Jedi Rocks brings to Jabba's Palace. Plus the lyrics are just better.

That one part where it sounds like Sy's singing "He's Muscle Man" just always was groan worthy.
So they take a bad song and make a more annoying number with some CGI character breaking the fourth wall and pining for the camera, that's just bad. Someone mentioned it before and I agree, it's worse than a fraggle rock episode.

Sorry, not following you. How is GL loony? For changing his movies to how he likes them? I guess I see the reactions to such small changes as being the extreme.

We all knew Lucas would change SW. He will change it again for the next release, and again for the one after that.

I don't think it's quite that black and white. He's still a good person by the time Episode II ends. He's just giving in to hate and anger, which is understandable given his loss.

Episode III is where it becomes a little too black and white, mostly because Lucas realized he done a pisspoor job of setting up Anakin's turn but had to turn him anyway. That's why we see the character transition from fighting alongside the Jedi in the Clone Wars to slaughtering the entire order(including a bunch of kids) in a matter of days.

The fact that Lucas had to go back and reshoot the entire scene where Anakin turns(which he himself admits on the DVD commentary) shows the guy was making it up as he went along.

sorry, I am not an expert on the PT, is it not possible that there might have been more than one "black" jedi?

And look at all the mistakes that has been corrected. And people yell about a simple NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Yes it is a bit stupid. But clearly the GOOD outweights the bad here in big leagues

Not to mention The Others is actually getting a head start and is being released at Best Buy this week as a limited time exclusive.

It was a pickup shot which is why Sam Jackson wasn't around. I could be wrong, but I believe it's Ahmed Best standing in for him. It's distracting, but it happens in movies. Next time you watch Goldfinger, check out the first glimpse of Auric Goldfinger which was from 2nd unit stuff shot in the US(whereas principal photography took place in the UK) and it's clear that ain't Gert Frobe.

What's really annoying about the pickup shots in TPM is that Ewan MacGregor's about 20 lbs heavier in them(and is wearing an obvious wig). And unfortunately I don't know how CGI can fix that.
The amazing thing to me about Auric Goldfinger was that he couldn't speak English. He was dubbed for the entire movie! The dub is pretty believable.

Like I told Beast, I do not know much about the PT. I will have to look for the fat MacGregor....

*Facepalms* We're getting off topic. Yes, there are numerous Black Jedis.

The point is... that the Jedi we see in those scenes is supposed to be Mace Windu. SLJ just wasn't available for shooting that day. Hence his stand-in.

He is supposed to be evil, while feeling remorse. This is shown by the speeder ride where he decides what he will tell the princess, a non convincing act that he is sorry for his actions, but he is in pain. Remorse and pain is something the dark side causes. Did nobody learn this in ROTJ?

Believe it or not I fall in the camp where I love the changes but I wish he would release the theatrical versions of the movies also on blu ray because it is the versions I grew up with. In phantom menace it is important we see Anakin as a kid because we see him as a kind kid with a great heart, though with a inferiority complex due to being a slave which causes him to have a bad temper, and causes him to lash out. It is not hard for me to vision Anakin as Vader. I am 32 and Vader is my favorite movie character of all time I guess it still bothers some fans to acknowledge Vader is more of a character you fear and pity, a man who could have had anything and lost it all because of paranoia, arrogance and ignorance. I might pop in Episode 2 or 3 on blu ray first because I think those might floor me the most with the visual presentation. I have every intention of picking up this box set, at Barnes & Noble I did in store reservation for $83.99 plus my member discount and I am so hoping for a 20% of coupon and I might be able to snatch this for close to $70 regardless I still feel at $90 which is $15 a movie plus 3 bonus discs the box set is a great deal!
The PT are badly executed movies, the reason people don't "get it". Lucas now only cares about the technical aspect of filmmaking and has forgotten how to tell a story.

That screenshot DOES look incredible!. I have all ways thought that Ep I, II or III would look incredible. They were never plagued with major issues like the OT. I have all ways been worried about the OT.

I guess my point about the original version of Sy, is that in the 83 version she sounds throaty, a dirty raw kind of sound that sounded appropriate for a place like Jabba's palace. It just doesn't sound right that some pop type kids band would be playing in the SE and beyond versions. Seems completely out of place and out of character/context.

You like tomatoes I like tomatoes... or something.
