Has anyone noticed that the Holiday Special is only just marginally worse than the prequels? We should have seen it coming. Actually, in some places it is better. Damn you Kershner! You delayed and obscured the coming jarpocalypse!
Everyone keep forgetting that back in the 80's Lucas gave us the Ewok Adventure movies

Wow. Just wow.
Yeah, seriously. I mean, imagine a grown man actually saying those lines out loud, and then immediately follow it by criticizing how "grown up" other adults are acting.

Just been to see the new Jurassic Park transfer at my local ODEON. It was an 8K presentation and I was rather excited to find that a brand new trailer for the Star Wars: Complete Saga Blu-ray was present.

Wow! It previewed clips from ESB and RoTJ, and they looked like completely different transfers to the Blu-ray. The colours just popped off the screen and there was almost no grain/film artefacts that you can see even on the Blu-ray discs. They looked even better than the film I was about to watch, Jurassic Park!

Most impressive clip was from RoTJ - the final attack on the Death Star as Lando and the crew 'pull out' from the onslaught. I've honestly never seen those shots look so good; you could see all the detail on the planet in the bottom-right corner of the screen, and the colours were so nice.

No idea why they look so different. I've watched my Original Trilogy Blu-rays on a number of different size T.V's, and once you get up to 50" it becomes quite apparent how dated the scans and restoration were. But surely this would show up even more a cinema screen?

Knowing Lucas, he's probably already had the films restored again and put the clips in as a "F*ck you" to everyone

My friends, dear fellows and countrymen (and women )

We have done it, we have gone over as the most posted in thread on the forum, surpassing the Criterion thread.

This will be a day long remembered!

I would rather watch The Holiday Special over the PT any day.

The entire point of Jar Jar is to distract the viewer from noticing they are watching the worst movie ever made. Instead of noticing the non-existent plot or horrible dialogue, we focus our anger onto Jah Jah. I think the reason the few people that do love Jar Jar is because they relate to him on an intellectual and philosophical level. Clearly they see themselves as Jar Jar. And this brings balance to the world.

Well, not to be an @ss but there is another way to look at it.

People who hate jar jar so much is because they see themselves in him and hate being reminded of it

Just reading a few of those hurt my brain SO BAD. Hey, you forgot "Peeeyoussa!" How could you forget his finest moment? Where he gets farted on by a space-horse? Oh, and when he steps in space-manure. That was a close second.

I actually curled my lip and shook my head when that happened on this viewing. The very last thing that movie needed with all the stupid Jar Jar Lee Lewis hijinks and pratfalls was a ****ing CGI creature farting. Yet it's there. Laughs don't get much cheaper than that.

Lucas + adopting kids = Ewoks and Jah Jah (named by his son I believe)

WHEN YOU LET A 5 YR OLD WRITE PART OF YOUR MOVIE YOU MIGHT WANT TO GO HOME AND RETHINK YOUR LIFE.

He's probably a great dad. But because of this the rest of us have to suffer...

When I think of Jar Jar's quotes, the only thing that comes to mind is this:

Qui-Gon Jinn: The ability to speak does not make you intelligent. Now get out of here.
