Cool

Since we're all sharing, here's my popular opinion!

Attack of the Clones was my favorite of the prequel movies. NO JOKE!

Right there with you! EASILY my favorite of the prequels. Despite serious cringe moments, it contains everything I ever wanted to see in a STAR WARS flick since I was a kid in the 80's -- back when I wasn't even daring to dream I'd ever get to see such things: the rapport and adventures of Anakin and Obi-Wan, Anakin's clear struggle against the Dark Side within himself, the insidious (pun intended) manipulations of Palpatine on his rise to power, an army of lightsaber-wielding Jedi Knights fighting side-by-side, and the beginning of the Clone Wars -- with a badass Mandalorian thrown in for good measure, flyin' around with his jetpack for god's sake. What's not to love? Except sand. It gets EVERYwhere.

I have a low opinion of the prequels (and sequels), but I enjoyed reading the prequel trilogy novelisations - much more satisfying than the films.

I thought the Revenge Of the Sith novel portrayed a much better version of Anakin's turn to the dark side than the movie.

If only the prequel films were as good as the novels...

The novel for The Phantom Menace sucked.
Terry either doesn't care or is an idiot.
One, he calls all Rodians a Greedo, as if that was the species name...
Two, it was badly written
Three, unlike other books, this seemed like it was written from the screenplay as there was not much added to it.

It had a different beginning ( starting with Anakin instead of the Jedi ) and added the Darth Bane material, at least.

Agreed. I thought the novel was fantastic.

It’s sad when the book is better than the movie when the book is based on a movie.

Not really. Movies typically have about 2 1/2 hours or less (in most cases) to tell a story. A book can be as long as it wants, and create internal monologues and ideas that a film otherwise may not.

Yes, although they seem to be nothing more than repacks of the ‘11 Blu rays with a Digital HD code.

In all the years since this Complete Saga was released, has anyone heard a decent explanation or acknowledgement of the weird "Shuttle Tyderium approaching Endor" section of RETURN OF THE JEDI that appears to drop to standard definition or less? It starts with the first interior shot of the shuttle as they're approaching Vader's super star destroyer, and with the exception of a few re-composited shots (Vader's helmet against the starfield and a portion of Death Star, shuttle flying through Endor atmosphere, etc.), the low-rez image continues until Han is sneaking up on the two Speeder Bike troopers. Then, thank the maker, it returns to normal high-def in time for the speeder chase.

Drives me nuts. File this under "Can't Wait For The New 4K Releases -- Chapter 1,138".

I always thought that section was just softer looking, but I certainly remember noticing it.

Watched AOTC over the weekend and it's still a turd. The only saving graces are Christopher Lee and Ewen McGregor. Any scene with Christensen or Portman is like that putrid smell from the garage that you can never get rid of.
