Thanks, I know it's DTS X just as we know it's Dolby Atmos.
But the Atmos is not the one you get on physical disc, so I assume the bandwith of the DTS X stream will be similar to a high end DTS stream on DVD.

I hope they prove me wrong they send a huge stream our way

Expanded aspect ratio during selected sequences
The entire movie was in the IMAX aspect ratio in IMAX theaters.
There were no AR changes at all. Interesting what they come up with.

EDIT: I just checked, the entire movie is in 1.90:1

My sentence was about; Disney could mention the entire movie is in IMAX aspect ratio, that there are no select switching scenes.

Not about the IMAX presentation. Thank you.

I saw it on the widest screen in the UK, and all I did was stare at the logo on his chest, I didn't once look at his face!
Thanks for pointing it out, glad I can still see the scope version!

I'm sure that in the next couple of days social media and enthusiast sites will have had a chance to review them noting which have shifting ARs and which are 1.90 constant. Just have to be a little patient.

As to why Disney didn't make mention of it. Maybe they want their subscribers to find out for themselves - watch all 13 movies. Be like a little mystery to be solved. As far as Disney is concerned, the more time their subscribers spend using Disney+ the better for Disney.

Remember - tomorrow is Disney+ Day. All kinds of new content will drop on Disney+

This also launched a day early, so there may be bugs to be fixed.
Its not like Netflix and Prime haven't put things in silly categories or messed up the thumbnails for movies.
Surely this can't be all anti IMAX surely???

I agree. It’s merely open matte.

It would have been needed to shot safe, and GOTG has the frame breaks in both movies...

streaming Atmos is DD+ which doesn't top very high on the bitrate scale either
Great. So it'll start lopping off frequencies above 15kHz then, or worse because the data is even more compressed to add the extra 6 channels.

For the record DD & DD+ is transparent to the master at 640kbps (no channel bonding, full 20Hz to 20kHz) and the 768kbps rate is more than enough for the objects added.

What's odd is how Tony looks bigger in the 'scope version, the pixel dimensions are identical but it's remarkable how the brain works with things like that. It literally focuses the viewer towards the crucial part of the image, but if people want more ceilings, foreheads, shoulders and feet then the IMAX is there for them I guess. Still wanna see IW & Endgame for myself mind you.

You working for Disney or IMAX? I've never seen someone promoting so hard a marketing gimmick.

Nope, they had DMR passes and 12 channel mixes. So enhanced.

The IMAX Enhanced versions on Disney+ have Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which is a welcomed surprise
