But the Atmos is not the one you get on physical disc, so I assume the bandwith of the DTS X stream will be similar to a high end DTS stream on DVD. I hope they prove me wrong they send a huge stream our way ![]() |

The composition of the scope version is superior. It focuses your attention on Tony's facial expression, which is more important than what he is wearing. You can tell the scope framing is what the DP was aiming for, just like Roger Deakins' IMAX vs scope screen comparisons.

There were no AR changes at all. Interesting what they come up with. EDIT: I just checked, the entire movie is in 1.90:1 ![]() Last edited by Socko; 11-11-2021 at 01:55 PM. |

As to why Disney didn't make mention of it. Maybe they want their subscribers to find out for themselves - watch all 13 movies. Be like a little mystery to be solved. As far as Disney is concerned, the more time their subscribers spend using Disney+ the better for Disney. Remember - tomorrow is Disney+ Day. All kinds of new content will drop on Disney+ |

![]() Open matte is not a new magic way of getting a ratio.... It would have been needed to shot safe, and GOTG has the frame breaks in both movies... |

Well that was a bunch of bullshit, not the least of which calling DTS:X "object based" - it's channel based, objects are "optional" and usually not used. Atmos also scales its output based on channel configuration and in the comments you'll see the usual "louder is better" types. They also probably hate letterbox because it doesn't "fill their screen" and HDR movies are "too dark".

For the record DD & DD+ is transparent to the master at 640kbps (no channel bonding, full 20Hz to 20kHz) and the 768kbps rate is more than enough for the objects added. |

The IMAX Enhanced versions on Disney+ have Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which is a welcomed surprise
