No replies? Hmmm, the dog days of summer no doubt.

Bond Girl, you say? (you can hear the accent, no?)

The one, the only, Michelle Yeoh. Very yummy. Don't tell my wife.

Lucien? Lucien? Lucien's a Lycan, man. He's the hairy handed gent who ran amuck in Kent. Lately he's been overheard in Mayfair. Better stay away from him. He'll rip your lungs out, Jim. I'd like to meet his tailor.

Curiously, that monitor has a DisplayPort input that is not mentioned in the specs, which means it could be used as a PC monitor, if enabled.

Confused Wabo? Ah, sorry, I just noticed that Lucien’s presentation (2nd row, far left) – https://tech.ebu.ch/events/2019/hdrworkshop is locked to you and likely all here, as it is restricted to members who qualify. Lucien is an innovative engineer who, long story short, among other things in his presentation describes 2 types of adaptive conversions (in real time) :

Per frame -

Within the frame –

(I kinda like masking - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...p#post15725551)

Conclusions as to the benefits of adaptive conversions –

On their site ...

Flashing forward to what movie just hit the theaters and a streaming service

Captured by the cinematographer known for Concussion and other motion pictures comes Space Jam: A New Legacy and another quality introduction by WarnerMedia’s colorist John Daro - https://www.johndaro.com/blog/2021/7...ple-deliveries

I’m thinking John is a strong contender for this upcoming award - https://imago.org/news/wolfgang-lemp...r-awards-2021/

Personally, I would be very happy if I could speak and write in German as well as Lucien does English. I’m not surprised though in him achieving Ph.D. with magna cum laude in light of the fact that he was awarded Best Young Professional by the IBC and IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) a few years back. I hope he continues to work in HDR especially when so many bright engineers seem to be transitioning from HDR to AI for their field of interest as that is one of the next frontiers - https://www.arm.com/campaigns/new-mobile-reality

Default Samsung & Dolby Vision

Samsung "supports" Dolby Vision: Samsung HW-Q950A soundbar supports Dolby Vision.

"Even more bizarre is that Samsung's soundbars pass Dolby Vision without any issues, but LG soundbars can't pass DV from Panasonic 4K disc players."

Hope you are not biased perhaps by being a Minnesota Timberwolves fan. Anyway, between work, and nightly watching of Euro 2020 and Le Tour de France, I’m waay behind on reading the sister HDR thread over at AVS in which your better angel always prevails, so if you’re not into Space Jam: A New Legacy, how did you find this Disney flick? - https://www.avsforum.com/threads/mas...#post-60777068

I notice further down the same page ^ you failed to comment, so I’m wondering if you’ve seen it by now, perhaps with the kids? Tom can do some stylistic work, be it with HDR or SDR, for example in the past with Drive and keep an eye out for how beautiful Blue Bayou is when it becomes available to you (shot on 16 mm) – https://www.imdb.com/video/vi2047524...&ref_=tt_ov_vi
