Yeah, I'm gonna need a source on that. There are multiple TVs out that can do Dolby Vision and none of them are HDMI 2.0b.

Plus, just search online for dolby vision hdmi 1.4 and you will see what I mean. They did not want to wait for hdmi 2.0 when developing the so called Dolby Vision "standard".

No, if you already have a receiver that can do HDCP 2.2 you are good to go. Only the source and the target need to support Dolby Vision. not the intermediate devices.

sorry not for Dolby Vision, I was thinking for HDR10 dynamic , but I don't see anything about here.

HDMI 2.0b does not define new cables or new connectors. Current High Speed cables (Category 2 cables) are capable of carrying the increased bandwidth.

Do you have a source on this? I'm interested in buying a Pioneer VSX-90 but I'm not going to jump unless I know for sure it will pass Dolby Vision. My next 4k TV will most likely support it.

From all my understanding you still need a Dolby Vision chip enabled UHD player besides the DV display. It even seems to indicate that intermediate step in the above diagram.

None of the streaming apps currently support lionsgate 4k movies, though eventually they could. But I suspect dolby vision blu rays are what we'll see.

The articles came out a month or 2 about dolby vision authoring tools for 4k bd being ready for distribution, so we might as well put 2 and 2 together. DV is coming whether the players are ready or not. The studios are future proofing themselves.
