Jim Caviezel would make a great Dr. Strange.

That's actually a good choice, I agree.

Rumor: Johnny Depp as Dr. Strange http://www.comicbookmovie.com/news/default.aspx?a=19992

One problem with it, why does the article say NL, Disney is making the movie.

...Um, because it's a big fat fake?

(I'm sorry, we're going to have to require three citations, a valid photo ID and a blood sample before ANY Johnny Depp rumors for the next foreseeable six years.)

Well, Disney owns Marvel. But, it's just a rumor.

Depp is set to play Banner in the Avengers.

Caviziel would be good. I always thought Liam Neeson would make a great Dr. Strange. Absolutely no for Depp.

It would be great to see Depp as Strange but I also like the idea that Patrick Dempsey is up for it.

I had no idea there even was one, but I'll certainly be looking for it now! Thanks for the tip. I bet it's going to be really hard to find though.... bummer.

I saw it. Kind of trip out and the special effect were very minimal. It was part of that Marvel line up on CBS that include Captain America, Incredible Hulk,Spider-man. I give them an A for effort considering the time and budget they had back in 78.

I would love seeing it but I agree it's probably not easy to find.

RUMOR: Major Doctor Strange Details!

This is only a rumor until proven true, but major details have surfaced about Doctor Strange has surfaced!

A source has given me some details on what is going on with the Doctor Strange movie. Last we all heard, 'Conan' writers Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer were set to do the screenplay. Then just weeks ago from the same source I received a tip that Guillermo del Toro is set to direct Doctor Strange, now I am told he should be announced any day now.

The source said: "Expect some announcement of Guillermo del Toro directing Doctor Strange any day now. He has been in talks ever since May, and he actually dropped out of "The Hobbit" in favor of "Doctor Strange". Marvel is very pleased with the screenplay Thomas Donnelly and Josh Oppenheimer have shown them, but they are planning to bring another writer on board to make improvements on it. No talks have begun with actors, but Marvel has put together a "wishlist" that has names such as Nestor Carbonell Skeet Ulrich."

I am hoping this all turns out to be true, because I LOVE the idea of del Toro directing 'Doctor Strange', and I think Carbonell and Ulrich are interesting choices for the role.

I am sorry for not including a source!

There is an article on CBmovies that say GDT will direct. I doubt it he is doing a horror movie first. What kind will he do, will it be a Freddy/Jason type or a monster movie for Dr. Jekyll/Hyde.

Del Toro's style would be perfect for Doctor Strange.
im not as big of a fanboy of his as a lot of people seem to be, but for this particular project i cant think of anyone better.
probably just a rumor though.

Interesting Rumor...Del Toro would make a great Doctor Strange movie. I'd like to see him take it on. It'll be interesting if this in fact takes form...

I wonder if that's the same rumor just coming back up or if it's really a recent rumor with Del Toro really circling the director's chair.
