That was awesome! Great balance of action, drama, and comedy. One of the best Marvel movies. An excellent addition to the MCU! Can't wait to see him interact with more of the main group. I see even greater things ahead!

With all the movies I watch, I rarely get to say the words, "I've never seen that before". I got to say that more than once in this mindbender of a Superhero story! It adds a really fresh little wrinkle into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Keep it up Marvel!

Saw it tonight and loved it. Was a lot more comedic than I was expecting but I thought it worked. Cumberbatch feels a bit off in the role but the rest of the film is so much fun I kinda forgave it. Easily of my favorites in the MCU thus far. Honestly liked it a lot more than Civil War though that's probably because I'm a bit bored with most MCU characters at this point. I like seeing more of the newcomers right now.

For the mid-credit scene, is anyone else convinced that
[Show spoiler]that scene will actually be in Thor Ragnarok? I know there were photos of Chris Hemsworth standing outside of the Bleeker St building during the filming of Thor Ragnarok, so it wouldn't surprise me. Would be akin to the Cap/Falcon/Winter Soldier scene from Civil War appearing 10 months earlier in the post-credit scene of Ant-Man.

Also, for the *post*-credit scene
[Show spoiler] I feel having somewhat of a "sorcerer vigilante", especially one who originally fought alongside of the hero, would make for someone who could potentially circumvent Marvel's "villain problem." He doesn't want to rule the world or have unlimited power... he just thinks he's doing something for the greater good by "de-powering" sorcerers.

My IMAX 3D showing had Power Rangers, XxX, Logan, Resident Evil, Fantastic Beasts, POTC, The Great Wall, Rogue One, GOTG 2 with the last 3 being in 3D.

Default Marvel's Doctor Strange (2016)

Doctor Strange is what happens when a superhero film, a 1970's Kung fu film, & a Pink Floyd music video walk into a bar. That is a huge compliment coming from someone who loves the source material, and all those things I listed. More thoughts later.

[Show spoiler]I think it's definitely a possibility. And Marvel can keep things under wraps if necessary, Cap's cameo (of sorts) in TDW wasn't spoiled before it was released, to my knowledge anyway. They can do greenscreen and shoot it in the studio to avoid it being seen on the streets. And it'd be awesome to see him again, I love it when characters cameo in other films.

some of the very best VFX i have ever seen.

The IMAX 3D was fantastic, pry the best 3D out of any Marvel movie to date.

The movie was also super solid, i wasnt sure id dig this early on, im not into sorcerer's and magic or what not... but then i saw the 15 min Imax special and now seeing it... Imax 3D, the only qay to go for this, i love Imax when the screen expands, and this movie had alot of expansion!

I kinda felt the exact same way while leaving the theater. It was way better than i expected. While I enjoy every film in the MCU (Some more than others), I have felt that fans needed a bit of a juxtaposition from the characters and themes (Hell, even the visuals) we've been given thus far. This felt like a perfect refresher, much like how Guardians of the Galaxy brought something new and exciting to the table. The timing of this film, in MARVEL's slate, was a wise choice; as we'll now jump back in with GotG: Vol. 2, followed by Spider-Man: Homecoming. I personally feel that quality time, with some of their newer characters, was much needed; and will allow the franchise to keep its strong footing as it continues to grow.

Saw this tonight in 3D. Not a 3D fan, but the 3D was pretty good. Not distracting and added a little something to the effects.

As far as the film goes, it might be Marvel's finest achievement so far in storytelling. The Stephen Strange pre-sorcerer scenes add a lot to his character. I really enjoyed a lot about the movie, the effects were incredible and the dialogue felt pretty natural for the most part, even though a lot had to be explained. Humor is not the film's focus, but there are a few great exchanges throughout.

My main issues lie with the villains and the third act. Marvel hasn't perfected either, but they do change things up a bit in these departments.

Overall one of Marvel's best, but not up there with The Winter Soldier. As far as origin stories go, Doctor Strange is the best Marvel movie yet. Overall I'd give it an 8/10.
