Doctor Strange is my favorite Marvel movie so far, and my favorite marvel character at the moment! It helps that I always loved subjects like Witchcraft, Wicca, Magic, Chakras, Spirituality, Astral travels, Meditation, etc. This movie sums it all, and add a superheroes boost to it! I saw it last Saturday, and I'm now back at collecting comics for the first time since 2010 because of this movie (well done Marvel!!!).

There's no real logic in that. "she's doing a good job and that she's not wrong" because it's apparently bothering people. ??

Really it comes down to being sick of internet videos and blogs in general, regardless of the topic. Too many people act like they know what's up about this or that (just for internet attention) and they don't really know s***.

The characters all have their own personalities and issues to deal with. She's way off base, but she's cute so I guess "fanboys" will have a bit of bias in favor of her opinions.

I lasted 40 seconds before I stopped watching. I couldn't imagine listening to her throughout the entire video.

Like Fantastic Beasts before it I went in with reasonable/ambivalent expectations and came out thoroughly energized and uplifted by the cinematic wonder I had born witness to. Doctor Strange is one of the best MCU offerings to date and I cannot wait to see where they take him from here. Benedict Cumberbatch is spectacular in the role and all of the cast beside him line up to do excellent work. The visuals are spectacular even in 2D (which I also saw Fantastic Beasts in) and it will no doubt (like Beasts) be a demo worthy Blu. I also applauded along with others at the end of this one. And had a good hearty laugh at the mid-credits scene which I shall not spoil. Just go see these movies if you haven't already.

This was such a #Rejuvenating day at the movies I sorely needed. So much fun was had and I have no regrets. Nothing but smiles here.

Not sure if I'm starting to get tired of these marvel movies, but after a second viewing tonight, I don't think I can watch this a third. Didn't exactly enjoy the second viewing as much as I usually would have. That being said, it was a great film with a lot of suspension of belief. That car crash scene gets less believable the second viewing (couldn't they have made the crash less insane). Also yes, I know this is a film about magic.

On a side note, after watching that video essay on film soundtracks, I noticed the temp music and it took me out of the scene both times. I believe it was the scene when Strange visits the NY Sanctum. The soundtrack sounded very similar to a track I heard in Civil War which sounded similar to a track from Avengers.

The crash was one thing I didn't like. Overly animated, like it was video game physics. I did like the emphasis on the damage happening to his hands but yeah, could have been more convincing by not pulling me out of the movie so much.

Otherwise, I liked the movie. Hopeful that a sequel can be a little more thought provoking since the origin is done.

Finally saw it today with my old man (my wife wasn't interested lol). Really enjoyed it. I'd give it a 7.5/10.

Loved the visuals and Cumberbatch in the lead role. Villain was decent; nothing spectacular IMHO. Really loved the use of the Eye of Agamoto .

This was really good. Solid 8.
Next level CGI visuals.

The story was a little light, but it moved well.

Wong w/ the Wand of Watoomb was cool.....wish they showed him use it.

I get he's "smart" but I still felt they moved through his training a tad bit too fast.
It probably just needed a quick montage of training images.

The Living Tribunal staff that Mordo wielded was a weird reference, since the actual Living Tribunal is a cosmic entity.

Ill go see it again just for the eye candy.

Finally it got released over here. Just came back from it. I thought it was really entertening, nothing groundbreaking story wise, but the visuals were spectacular. I don't like 3D but this is the only movie I was thinking I should have seen it on 3D.

I thought the humor was great as usual, but felt a little out of place within the context of the movie. Like, they HAD to put jokes there, it's Marvel. Some were good, some not so much.

Overall I really liked it. 4/5

Like others have mentioned, if they went with an asian male for the role, critics would have complained that they were using the tired stereotype of the all-wise asian master.

Cho sounds like she, er, "embellished" her exchange with Swinton. Cho comes across a SJW in need of a quick "hit" for her ego.

Exactly; you can't win no matter what you do in today's world, people are going to complain regardless.

The only issue I have with Cho is she was part of a "boycott" about a movie she had no knowledge of outside the trailers. If she, and others, had been more informed from the outset this is a non-issue. She shouldn't have made her convos with Tilda seem more "scandalous" than they actually are. The convos themselves are fine on both sides, but the outside narrative was teetering on terrible.
