Hard to say. Story must dictate the costume, so I couldn't say until we have some plot details they can easily tie in Thor and Asgard into Strange, just like we later learned that Tony's armor is powered from Asgardian tech (the tesseract).

I really think Patrick Dempsey is the best casting for Stephen, as he's been wanting this role for a long time and he has the look down. Though I trust Marvel's casting decisions. They definitely have not disappointed in that department.

He was pretty decent in Enchanted. Maybe he could pull it off. Not who I would want to see personally, but I hope for the best.

I think the costume should look pretty awesome. I quite liked the animated Dr Strange movie. It showed him have a very personal origin story and would work really well with audiences imo.

He can then cameo into the Avengers larger world with a shared event I think. I like to think it's going to be more in the vein of Iron Man leading into Avengers shared world.

No, But I have noticed that movie websites have Doctor Strange's release year listed as 2016 -> https://www.google.com/#q=Doctor+Strange+(2016) . I'm not sure if 2016 is when it will in fact be released to theaters, because there is always the possibility that it could be released later then 2016.

Well if it's coming out in 2016 it's either going to be May 6th or July 8th. I believe those are the only 2 dates Marvel has for movies, and I doubt they'd add a third movie.

Yes, May 6th 2016 sounds like a possibility. Maybe they would release it in early May in 2016 the same month, and that early in May that the Iron Man movies have been released in early May 2008, 2010 and 2013 ?

By the time 2016 rolls around, they'd have released big ensemble movies in Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron. They make enough money and I'd easily see them getting more ambitious and adding a third movie to their slate.

I can only see that happening if they add more films to Phase 3. Right now we're at 5 movies that have been "confirmed". We'll probably get 1 more film announcement since Avengers 3 will probably be a 2018 film. Ant-Man 2015, 2 films in 2016 and 2 possible films in 2017 (1 so far). Unless Marvel already has a third film planned for 2016, which to me seems unlikely, I doubt they'd change up plans just because of the success of GotG and Avengers 2. They seem to have a set plan and schedule.

To me this is how I see it playing out for Phase 3:

Ant-Man - July 2015
Doctor Strange - May 2016
Thor 3 - July 2016
Cap 3 - early 2017
?? - late 2017
Avengers 3 - May 2018

That last 2017 movie would probably be the Guardians sequel, right? Tie directly in to Avengers 3. I like the current roster, but it will be nice to get some fresh movies like Dr. Strange plus the Netflix shows.

May seems the most possible considering the only other phase 3 movies we kind of know about are Thor 3 and Cap 3, which May 2016 would be way too early.
