George Clooney could do a great job as Dr. Strange. Watch Solaris. He can handle the emotional side of the charcter, which makes the character more interesting.

Of all the remaining Marvel characters yet to get a movie, I really believe Dr. Strange has the most potential to turn out as one really good movie. I bet Guillermo Del Toro could direct an awesome movie featuring the master of the mystic arts.

Bale has also been quoted as saying the Batsuit is heavy, hot, and "gave him headaches". The thing is a damned rubber body suit; do you expect it to be comfortable? Do you expect the actors to lie about how uncomfortable it is?

Clooney's failure in Batman & Robin was due to the writing, directing, and casting. If he had taken the mantle under another director with a better vision, with better writing, and with better casting/acting, he would have done rather well. He might not have hit the mark like Bale has, but he certainly would have given a satisfactory performance.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing him as Dr. Strange. There are a few who could do it I think, but I'm sure he wouldn't be bad, assuming the direction plays to his strengths.

The problem with Clooney is:

Tilt head forward and to the side
raise eyebrows
stretch both sides of your mouth back and return
aaannnnd
Dialog.

Of course that's just my opinion.

Iron Man is technically a B character to the general public.

I would Doc Strange in the C character range.

That being said, they have the animated movie already, so I don't see this as a stretch.

Now, Clooney as Doc Strange could really work.

I see...Eric Bana in this role since he has been exiled from Bruce Banner.

Will this be a Paramount or Disney film? Paramount has a deal with Marvel with 4 movies. Could Dr. Strange com after Iron Man 3 or even before. Is the deal they do the 4 or is it Disney can't get involved til after IM3?

I am a huge Dr. Strange fan. Not too brag, but I probably have one of the best Dr. Strange comic book collection in existence. I only wish for the movie to give the character a proper "treatment".

Who would be in your Top 5 for the casting of Stephen Strange?

maybe this is the movie that Stan "the man" Lee will get his wish and see Leonardo DeCaprio take the title role.

No. I hope that doesn't happen.

I said earlier in a different thread Josh Holloway would make a good Doctor Strange and I stand by that.

Marvel Studios has four more films committed to be distributed through Paramount (including Iron-Man 3). Those will include Thor and The First Avenger: Captain America, with the last to likely be The Avengers.

This would be Disney.

It won't happen, but even if Dr. Strange would come out before The Avengers?

I think this some Doc Strange would be in good order for these new 10 minute shorts. I think Johnny Depp would be great. I recently saw the Ninth gate cover and was impressed with how so much he look like Doc Strange!!!!

Riddler, recast as the Joker, Doctor Strange.....

Let's just cast Depp as EVERY comic book character.

No to Depp as Strange.

Yes to Josh Holloway
